Which thesaurus did you use to construct that sentence?

This is a retarded comparison. If Bird took as many shots as Kobe does every game, shite he would have averaged some gigantic numbers. While I think Kobe is the greatest in the game right now, by no means is he the all around player Bird was. Bird played the game on such a cerebral level, a level IMO Kobe hasn't sniffed. Kobe is a great athlete which allows him to get the numbers he has.
Just posting career stats really doesn't make an argument solid IMO. If you didn't watch Larry Birds entire career, then you can't comment on this thread IMO. Watching youtube clips is enough either.
First of all, it's not nearly as retarded as saying LeBron disappears in the playoffs or Rudy T > Sloan.
Secondly, stats do a pretty damn good job of telling the story. They just don't support your opinion that the comparison is "retarded." And I didn't actually write my opinion.
Thirdly, your "case" for Bird was just a couple of platitudes.

Exactly. Kobe is an excellent defender and Bird was considerably below average.

shots per game; career
Bird: 19.3
Kobe: 19.3

Depends on what you need for your team. You cant go wrong with either guy.

yet Bird found his way to the all defensive team on 3 occasions. Go figure.

The signature highlight of Bird's career is a defensive play.

LMFAO at this myth that got started here.
Bird was on a whole other level when it came to bringing his team into the game.

yeah, but he is white, which means he cant play defense!!@!@

I watched the games and his defense was way overrated. The announcers were always very generous and would claim him to be "an excellent team defender". I think that meant that the rest of the team had to guard his man.

Myth? No, I saw the guy play. One of the greatest players ever on the offensive end of the floor...made everyone around him better.
But the dude got uses alot on the other end of the floor.
