And why do you compare? You have a huge mancrush on any player who played before 1980.

Peej, you always try to shite on other people's posts without ever giving a counter argument. Your opinion in regards to anything and everything NBA is one of the most inaccurate, information-void opinions I've ever seen.

Phoenix vs Orlando were your NBA finals picks FYI

What does seeing him live prove? You saw Orlando and Phoenix live this season and were completely wrong about how their seasons would end. I've seen enough and can read well enough to form an opinion.

Do you want me to dig through you're NBA posts to form a novel of hilarious predictions and perspectives?

How is it an attempt to flame? It's true.

And Alex, I agree, his NBA predictions and analysis is nothing short of hilarious.

According to him LeBron is AT BEST the fifth best player in the league.

Bird without a doubt.

"Bird's impact on the Celtics was immediate. The Celtics were 29–53 during the 1978–79 season, but with Bird the team improved to 61–21 in the 1979–80 season, posting the league's best regular season record."

Yeah, I've actually got to go with Bird for this. Bird could have averaged 35 on a shitty team like Kobe did. And to those saying he had shitty defense, no. Bird didn't have any holes and without question was a better shooter then Kobe. Bird's last 4 or 5 years he might as well been crippled as far as the NBA is concerned and his career stats still equal Kobe's.

That really is a tough one. One thing that might tip the scales to Kobe for me...Bird was a pretty mediocre defencer and Kobe is actually an above average defender...I know that doesn't mean much to many, but half the game is played on that side of the court.

I've heard folks try to make a case that Bird was a great "team" defender..I think that's rationalizing. He was often exposed and taken advantage of on that end.

Without looking, I'm guessing the vastajority of your posts fall under the "no creativity needed" label.

Bird leads in most stats and Kobe should average down in coming years

Kobe's average will not go down for at least 3-4 more years. The only reason they are that low in the first place is because he barely played his first two years when he was just out of high school. If you take that away his stats are even better.

This is a retarded comparison. If Bird took as many shots as Kobe does every game, shite he would have averaged some gigantic numbers. While I think Kobe is the greatest in the game right now, by no means is he the all around player Bird was. Bird played the game on such a cerebral level, a level IMO Kobe hasn't sniffed. Kobe is a great athlete which allows him to get the numbers he has.

Just posting career stats really doesn't make an argument solid IMO. If you didn't watch Larry Birds entire career, then you can't comment on this thread IMO. Watching youtube clips is enough either.
