Lamar is a cerebral quarterback who makes reads and good decisions. Cam was just a physical brute. Very different players.

I love Joe Burrow as an LSU fan but i’d be weary of the 1 year wonder phenomenon for NFL. It’s shades of Trubitsky but Burrow is a hell of a lot better college QB

He won 10 games the previous year and won a NY6 bowl. He didn't get to benefit from Spring Training that year and played in an offense that was obviously not anywhere near as good or modern.

I wonder what the odds are of some team drafting him with the idea of also going after Joe Brady for their OC position? it's not like NFL teams can't pay a buyout

well bengals have zac taylor, he's the offensive guy/hc for the team. not sure that would be a place joe brady would look to go to.

yeah it would have to be basically a perfect storm of

a: gives brady an insane amount of leeway in calling the offense/continuing to develop the QB and

b: a place he could possibly take over for the HC one day

since I'm assuming most HC's don't want to hire their own replacement, there is probably not a spot where this could work out

Joe Brady isn't leaving for an OC job, IMO.

He will transition to OC at LSU. At that point, he will be looking for a P5 HC or NFL HC job only.

Obviously as a Bama fan I’m not a huge Cam Newton fan but you must give Newton credit because he does lower his shoulder and take hits and he does dive head first for 1st downs and TD’s. It’s very seldom you’ll see Newton do the feet first sissy slide.

That’s not good for career longevity though.

That play confirmed a lot about Cam, and none of it good.
