i can't believe how all of these people think that it's such a big deal if the lakers win. there was never a question. when you sign lebron, AD, Howard, and Rondo.......Limu the fricking emu could coach this team to a title.

I dont see how anyone could take this playoff as seriously as normal. Chances AD or Rondo are healthy for the playoffs under normal conditions? Zero.

At the beginning of the season, I criticized this roster because while it was overflowing with talent in the starting 5, it was lacking seriously in depth. I prognosticated that over the length and rigors of a full season, injuries would creep up on this team and their lack of quality depth would leave them exposed. Covid greatly shortened the season, and the team was able to avoid the injury bug, so it’s not shocking that they’re playing in the finals.

It also gave everyone 2 months to nurse nagging injuries they were playing through and get completely healthy before the final push. If you cannot see how the unique circumstances of the shutdown followed by the bubble benefited teams with limited depth, then I don’t know what else to say.
