Kobe couldn't have just left under contract and joined another team

he was a free agent around the same time, Kobe had options....Clippers and Suns were the main contenders

By that logic, Robert Horry is better than Kobe.

Okay look, I think the championships argument is stupid when comparing NBA greats, NFL QB's, etc., but it's equally stupid to think that Horry is even comparable to Kobe. Lebron and Kobe are peers in that each is an all time great player. Now that Lebron has a talented team around and has won big, the championships argument could be relevant in discussing these players place in history.

Horry is a career 7ppg role player. Comparing his titles to Kobe's is much more pointless.

Hey at least Kobe wouldn't have had a "Decision" on whether he would be traded to the Pistons

And the Cavs rewarded him with such great talent.

Old Shaq, Ben Wallace, Wally Szcherbaisineijewbiak, Delonte West, past his prime Antawn Jamison

I don't get into all the Lebron/Kobe nonsense but...

Kobe was ALL OVER TV demanding a trade. Its not like he did it privately. He did multiple interviews and threw the Lakers under the bus.

He totally quit on his team in game 7 of a playoff series. Then demands a trade, loudly, publicly, on national television.

The revisionist history on those days of his career is amazing. When people talk about Kobe's "mentality," etc... its like all that stuff never happened.
