re: Lafayette Christian Academy. What’s the real story on this new football powerhouse?

STM isn't exactly teeming with great athletes.
Yeah I am not seeing very many high level recruits from STM committing to big time schools
Malik Nabors is from Broussard and I doubt he has ever set foot on STM’s campus

No college team wants juiced up slow white boys. STM can only produce half arse receivers and quarterbacks. Bech can’t even dominate the big 12 or 16 whatever the aids conference is now. 200 is yards is the best he’s done in his career there

Didn't Christian Mcneese and Hutch Swilley both commit to Army and Navy to back out and attend local?

Mcnees is at Nicholls and Swilley is enrolled at ULL, of course ULL always has to take one of them boys every year it seems

Is LCA still a powerhouse? I thought Trev Faulk took a lot of those players with him to the charter school.

Him and hughfreezehotline should go have a date at the rice palace, maybe have a rendezvous at one of the near by motels.

Man we always wondered if that was going on there. I graduated in 2011 and it seemed like every year they were supposed to be down after losing a lot, some new guys that weren’t there a year ago happened to show up and be very athletic lol. We had some battles with them in basketball

What school did you attend? HCS is no doubt a basketball school. We also excelled in track until the outstanding track coach bolted for St. Louis.

“Crowley Highs football stadium” isn’t even on Crowley Highs campus. In fact Crowley high is much farther away from the stadium than ND i

What makes Notre Dame so special that they have the need to share a field owned by the School Board when none of these other private schools do?
Jesuit, St Aug, Rummel, Holy Cross, John Curtis, Brother Martin, Karr, Catholic BR, St Michael(getting one later this year) Madison Prep, opelousas catholic, ascension catholic, Warren Easton, de la salle and Catholic Of PC do not have their own stadiums(among some others).
and FWIW one of those has more money than the next 3 schools combined.

I don't feel that a school not associated with the school board that owns the football field should play home games there.

Oh yea coach Johnny. He definitely knows his stuff. I went to Elton.

Edit: So, they play in Rayne too? My point above just sounds better. Get your own stadium and you won't have to worry about scheduling around other teams.

St. Ed's, VC, Highland Baptist, among other small schools, get their funding for a stadium?

Notre Dame’s campus was very poorly planned in hindsight.

quote:PBS played JC at home 4 years in a row. 2 of those years JC was the home team and wore dark jerseys but occupied the visitors stands.
Also when Crowley played ND and it was ND's turn to be the home team they had to play in Rayne because Crowley wouldn't let ND be on the home sideline
heck for YEARS when Catholic played at olympia and they were the home team they used the visitors stands.

Coach Johnny had a son who played football for Texas Tech and then McNeese. He helped me become one of the best in the state for indoor track before my shin splints took over. Johnny got a kid named Blair to run track instead of basketball, coached him up at HCA and St. Louis, and got him on scholarship to run the 800m at LSU. He was a beast. I thought I was good until I ran with him.
Elton eh. HCA’s 2011 Sr. class was outstanding in football especially because Johnny (strength and conditioning coach) convinced Maggie to switch to an air raid offense. I was a sophomore and they hit hard especially Cam Meyer the QB/Safety/State winner in the pole vault. We always felt sorry for y’all because like us y’all could never get over the hump of those Oberlin and Basile teams, but poor Merryville and South Cameron.

Oh yea. Ernest. I took some classes with him at McNeese. Good guy. But yea we got basile my senior year but never could get oberlin lol. Cedric skinner was tough to stop. We made up for it in basketball haha. But I remember Blair Henderson well. Unreal in the 800

What makes you an expert on the situation?
I now have friends who have kids that play for them. That makes me an expert.
