frick you're right. Tech needs to scrap this idea and realize they need to be playing the likes of McNeese and Northwestern and then sell themselves out and play a bunch of money games. I mean they have sucked, do suck and will suck for eternity so why in the hell are they spending $20MM dollars in order to attract better recruits and more fans? Boy am I glad you set me straight...I'm going to see Dr. Reneau tomorrow and I'll tell that son of a bitch that Louisiana Tech University has no damn business trying to improve athletics. Someone needs to tell him to look 30 minutes down the road at ULM so Tech can follow their lead and aspire to move down a level.

Tech, unlike the UL twins, has some supporters that have deep pockets. Davison was going to put up the bulk of the money to keep the Saints in NO after Benson talked about moving the team after Katrina.
Nice to see they are improving things and doing it without state money.

Oh absolutely but that'd never happen. Kix doesn't have much appeal with Ronnie and while Trace has been to games recently, I couldn't see him performing.
And yeah the hill is scrapped and the spirit of 88 has been moved to the middle of the sidewalk behind the goalposts.

No. They've raised 9 or 10 million of the 20 million they need. I would guess they're going to wait and get a little bit closer to the 20 mil before they start construction

No matter how much money Tech spends, it just doesn't work. They tried so much harder than ULM over the past four years, but look at the two teams' (and other FBS shools in Louisiana) records:
LSU 40-13
ULL 22-28
ULM 20-28
Tech 20-30
Tulane 13-35
Everything Tech does amounts to nothing.

Why do LSU fans constantly have to say idiotic comments like "Tech will never be AS GOOD AS LSU!!!" or "DEM DER TECHSTERS ARE BUNCH OF PUSSIES!!! YA!! GEAUX TIGERS!!! TIGERBAIT!!" everytime someone just mentions Tech?
What the frick has Tech ever done to LSU? Nothing. So why constantly put them down? Let Tech try to improve their athletics.
