"I think down at Florida, it got very toxic for him. He became the scapegoat," Holtz said. "He became the guy that was tied to losing at Florida as a fan base that does not take very well to losing. It really became a negative situation, which is unfortunate because he's such a great Christian young man with such great values who is a leader.

Saw this on twitter and thought it was interesting. I did see an interesting stat on a Florida blog where all of Muschamps former QBs are doing well after transfers.

Will Grier, Treon Harris, Jeff Driskel & Jacoby Brissett last night were a combined 60 for 74, for 850 yds and 10 tds to 0 INT. #GoGators

He had three different coordinators in his three years at UF. He had no chance to do well really

People forget UF almost played for a championship. Had Wiess stayed, things might have been different.

I knew that would make someone mad for no reason.

Why roll your eyes at him being a Christian? Do you need Jesus?

Because it's completely irrelevant to anything else posted. Who cares if he's a satan worshipper, or a Christian, or an atheist.

For all intensive purposes, he was the escape goat for the program.

Because people act as if being a Christian automatically means they have "good values."

As time goes on, more and more comes out that reveals just how bad of a coach Will Muschamp was. What a disaster hire for Florida.
McElwain gets one game and they look like an entirely different team. Before you say look at the competition, Florida looked like garbage so many times against bad teams during the WM era. It was almost a guarantee.
Even in his Sugar Bowl year, I remember Bowling Green and ULL giving them hell.

Do you think Driskel's Christian values may have prevented him from making negative comments about his experiences at Florida? Would he be so inclined with satanic values?

Could have left it out of the article, not his fault though. I understand your point though, thanks for explaining...

Being a Christian means absolute shite when it comes to someone's values. Jared Fogle was a "Christian" and a "godly man" and he raped young girls and beat off to their sex tapes.

When I saw him play his freshman year, he looked like Rohan Davey to me. I've always kind of pulled for him since.
