They've been around for a long time.

It's quite possibly the oldest poll around.
But they have lost some respect over the years because they fluctuate sometimes way too much from week to week. (CBN that is)

wish they'd use a different uniform for Tech

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Tech using black. I don't think it looks good with the classic red and blue.

I want to try to attend the UL-L Louisiana Tech baseball game.
I think UL-L may have a better overall roster but Louisiana tech appears to have the better coaching.
Should be a very interesting baseball game.

Wait, you think Lane Burroughs is a better coach than Tony Robichaux? Please don't be that lazy.
Tech can hit and has an elite closer. That's why they are winning. Not coaching. This is our best shot to make a run possibly ever. Just enjoy the ride.

Do you know much about what he's doing to set up for success beyond this year though? Biggest fear I have is falling back into Simoneaux type years.

Yes, winning. You want good players you have to win. Coach Burroughs will not hit the JUCOS as hard as Coach Goff but will get JUCOS at positions needed. Win first then you can start to build a program.

It's just crazy how much a culture has seemed to change about the Tech baseball program in about year and half span. They were the dumpster fire of the athletic department for so long, its nice to see them make this huge turnaround.

It would take a coach and AD that didn't care, to fall back to Simoneaux years... Sim was a good fundraiser and far too loyal to his assistant coaches that didn't deserve the position. Other than that his baseball knowledge was lacking and his work ethic was atrocious for an NCAA coach. He put too much weight in where a kid came from (5A-4A school) or what year in college they were, and not enough in actual abilities.
It appeared as though he also would make the majority of his judgments based off what he saw in the fall games, and refused to change throughout the course of a season... as a fan we were sitting there thinking "yea lets keep running the pitcher with the ERA in the 7s out there." "Yea lets start the first baseman who is hitting .173 because he hit that big homerun back in October."
It just made no sense... and what coach chooses to wear #13?
Combine all that with his refusal to play against LSU because he felt like he was passed over for the job when Skip stepped down, and you get a guy who just came off as a blowhard. Hell he couldn't even go to a kid who was 2nd tier and say, "You didn't get an offer from LSU? Come play for us and show them what they missed out on when we play them."

Yep. Tech is in a good spot with their program right now. Hard to see it falling back to those days.

Really bad week for NSU in Kansas. Dropped 2/3 from the Jayhawks abd K-State destroying us 16-4 and 19-9. Demons need a huge showing against Nicholls to keep this season from slipping away.

SLU with a walk-off 2 run blast in the 12th to win 4-2 over West Virginia.

Coach, AD, President. Dr. Dan didn't have many shits to give about athletics. Guice came after the time I spent at Tech but from what I understand he's been much more proactive in working with the AD to get shite done.

No doubt. Seems like just yesterday we were hosting the WAC tournament and not even playing in it.

La Tech has done a great job investing in the program. Bulldogs have been playing lights out and their stock is definitely rising.
McNeese and SLU have started to extend from the pack and are playing well. Huge win for McNeese tonight.
From what I've seen UNO and Nicholls are both solid but a step behing MSU and SLU.
NSU, Tulane and ULM are all on the verge of losing the season very early and need a quick turnaround.
