Oklahoma State wins 6-5. Think all of our bubble teams may have been popped.

I think LSU and SLU will be the only two in.

Looks like D1 has SLU projected to be #2 seed in Louisville. Guess we'll know for sure in a few hours.

Tech doesn't deserve to go. The kids had their chance and laid it in the tournament.

Sad to see McNeese's season end, but SELU is the perfect example. Regular Season title and Conference title don't matter if you have the resume. We didn't get the auto, and didn't have the resume down the stretch.

Hate that they put the two Louisiana teams in the same regional..

And the two Conference USA teams paired in the regionals.

NCAA might as well have given a massive middle finger to anyone who isn't a power-five school.

I said it in the other thread, the only thing that really bothers me about McNeese not getting in, is that SELA gets a 2 seed and Sam a 3?

I get it, McNeese didn't have the resume. But SELA gets a 2 and a team that won their reg season conference titile gets the snub.

RPI. Sam got in with an auto, but their RPI and resume wasn't amazing. SELU, while they didn't win the tourney or regular season title, was pretty strong all season, really strong at the end, and had a great resume and a strong RPI.

They deserved the 2 seed. Sam deserved a 3 for winning the autobid.

Sam had an abysmal OOC RPI and SOS, they got a three seed because they weren't getting in without the auto bid.

SLU went 25-5 two years ago in conference and didn't get in, it happens. McNeese did not have the resume against OOC opponents (hell they went 2-4 against Sam and SLU).

I don't know if SLU deserved a two seed, but out of the teams in the Baton Rouge regional, who else would it be? We beat Rice 2/3, and they wouldn't even be in without the auto bid. I would gladly take a 3 side somewhere else over the two in Baton Rouge.

Folks can say what they want, but the selection committee also favors consistency. Southeastern has been consistently good for a while now. McNeese can feel robbed, but lions fans know the feeling all too well.
