Probably just LSU and SELA

What was the injury to Luken Baker?
I never saw the final report other than "substantial"
I know not theme of the thread but didn't deserve own thread.

I would bet it's only LSU and SELU. Bonnette can spin numbers all he wants, McNeese didn't finish the season well.
And if McNeese doesn't make the tourney, no way anyone else from the state is.

Which teams are needing the MVC to be a 1 bid league?
Posted on 5/27/17 at 4:30 pm to BayouBengals03
LSU (lock) and SLU (pretty close to a lock). McNeese, LA Tech, and ULL are going to get one in and the other two will be in the first four out. I think it will be Tech or ULL over McNeese purely on the fact that i can't see them putting in 3 SLC teams when two went 1-2 in the tournament. IMO FWIW.
ETA: Baseball America still thinks that the SLC may get three teams in, but I can't vouch for their accuracy.

Lots of bid thieves lurking:
Anybody but Maryland in the Big Ten.
ECU with win tomorrow in AAC.
OK State with win tomorrow in Big 12.
St. John's must beat Xavier twice tomorrow to prevent bid theft.
Southern Miss must win one more today & another tomorrow (vs. Rice) in CUSA to prevent another stolen bid.
Missouri State must win one more today and another tomorrow in the MVC to prevent yet another stolen bid.

Damn, that's wild.
I've accidentally watched Xavier a few times this season. They're a decent club.
I would be livid if East Carolina got in after their shite arse season. Started 0-10 in conference. Yes, they had some injuries, but that team deserves nothing. For once, I will be cheering for Houston tomorrow.

SMS was due for a string of loses going 22-1 in conference
They lost the opening game in the tournament but are in the finals I thought since they beat Wichita.
Did USF just tank? Weren't USF and Ucf both ranked?

Missouri State has to beat Illinois State and DBU tomorrow to win that tournament.
USF lost twice after beating Tulane in their first game. ECU whipped UCF twice.

UCF, USF, Houston, and Connecticut were in a 4-way tie going into the last day of the regular season.
UCF beat USF 3-2 in Orlando. Houston also won to share the title with UCF.
I wouldn't say USF completely tanked, but they didn't stay nearly as hot as they were at the beginning of the season once they hit conference play in the American. They also have OOC wins against Florida and Florida State this season.
They're firmly in the field. As are UCF and Houston. Connecticut is a bubble team.
People are saying UCF even had a shot to host (which I don't think they deserved). That's probably out the window with their loss to East Carolina today. They are a great story, though. They finished last in the American last season.
The American is a good league, but it's not a 5-bid league. If ECU wins, Connecticut (#37 RPI) is toast. If ECU loses, I would guess Connecticut has a chance to get in the field. But I would count on them being on the outside looking in.

If Northwestern wins the B1G that may steal a bid
Nebraska and Michigan all are eliminated already I believe
Northwestern is having to play an elimination game though tonight it looks like.
Minnesota forced an elimination game w Iowa earlier.

Minnesota is still alive but their RPI is in the mid-60's.
Iowa plays Minny tonight while Maryland plays Northwestern after that one to determine B1G title game finalists. Of that bunch, only the Terps are in.

Maryland is really acting like a softball team today with their antics.
Some are hilarious but you just have to shake your head at the others.

Yeah I saw of that last night, too. Two guys in the dugout had SVP's Twitter handle on a dry erase board behind their coach during an in-game interview.

Normally I'd say no doubt about it but the committee is told to have northern school bias.

Sam Houston won the Southland auto-bid today.
Georgia Southern takes on South Alabama for the Sun Belt title Sunday.
I can't see more than 2 SLC teams making it...hope I'm wrong.

For sure. And while we are there we can talk about one or two seasons -vs- a program.
But an @Ruston fan including a pic of a locked-out, dehydrated 'dawg' in a troll post.
Priceless.
@ruston: abusused 2 'dawgs' and counting.

Hopefully, Southern Miss can help out all you bubble teams today. We're doing it for you.
SMTTT!!!
ETA: Southern Miss pitching is thin at this point after 5 previous games in four days and Rice is very hot so it's going to be tough.

It's shaping up to be a brutal day for the bubble teams.
