Kyler Murray's combine was one of the worst of all time according to NFL Network Analyst

Former Texans (and Redskins) GM and current NFL Network analyst absolutely roasted Kyler Murray on air today by going over some of the things he heard said about Kyler at the combine. I'm not a big Casserly fan by any means, but after Kyler's Dan Patrick interview, in addition to the way he (and his dad) have handled the baseball news and previous adversity or losses is not a great sign for Kyler.

Charley is currently doubling down on air: "It was the worst report I ever heard on a top-ranked quarterback from an interview standpoint." Says he spoke to more than two teams and got the same reports from all.

He didn’t participate in any drills.

I mean some people don’t interview well? Kinda shitty to roast a guy over that.

But he should have done drills in the first place to prevent something like this from happening. Dude is putting his trust in a coach brand new to the NFL. That’s crazy to me.

They're probably talking about his personality.

I've had this dude pegged for a while. Everyone can't be all happy go lucky and shite but watching him interact with Tua was just ridiculous.

The kid is as crabby and awkward and disinterested in other people as one can get.

Casserly is a talking head at this point. Nothing more

But the interviews for NFL QBs are way different I think. Isn't a large piece putting up situations on the whiteboard/tv and asking a QB to identify coverage etc? This is something people have said Haskins does very well (by comparison since that is the other top QB).

I think it’s somewhat important for a QB, certainly much more so than any other position

Can we get any more degrees of separation about who heard what from whom?

I’ve never seen him during interviews or anything so that is interesting. I’m just surprised he didn’t do a single drill and he is basically relying on his people skills.

I mean 90% of the work a QB does is not on the field on gameday. It's studying film, identifying tendencies in defenses, being the leader of a team, dealing with intrateam issues, speaking to the coaches, dealing well with the media and fans.

If he can only play on Sundays, that will be an issue. That is what this is saying to me (but as said, maybe he spoke to 3 teams who were in the 20-26 draft position and don't have any shot to get him)

Absolutely. Still think it’s messed up to roast him though. You would think his nerves are up and he can improve on those things as he gets comfortable. IMO.

If you are a GM of a team, you are interviewing 3-5 QBs annually for 5+ years, so you have 15+ guys to compare him too, and they are indicating it's not a good look.

He could make all these people shut up when he plays though

Wait, you mean to tell me the guy who thought as a true freshman he shouldn't have to win a QB competition to unseat an incumbent sophomore starting QB had a bad interview?

The same guy who threw a pick on purpose b/c he was mad about the play calling and cussed out his QB coach during the game when he got benched over it?

The same guy who flat out quit b/c Auburn players tackled him too hard for his liking?

Nah....

So glad nobody drafted Aaron Rodgers. Oh wait, you were talking about Kyler? Sorry. I get their personalities confused. Brady is well know for being a very likable guy with teammates, too, right?

Kyler’s going to be a top 10 pick. Casserly can make his headlines now, but it’s going to happen.

Casserly picked David Carr as his first rounder when a GM in Houston.

I was going to mention that he probably has a similar personality to Rodgers.

Some of this could easily be draft talk bullshite that we see every year.

I was mostly just explaining what I think of the kid.
