I think Kurt has a chance to get into the HOF but it's very debatable at this point and to say he is first ballot is ridiculous.

If Cris Carter can't get in in his 2nd year, no way is Kurt a first ballot guy.

Kurt should go in. Shannon Sharpe and Cris Carter both deserve to be in FWIW.

What was with the talk about Shannon Sharpe being considered as a WR? That is BS. Cris Carter should've been 1st ballot and its a joke that he couldn't get in even on the 2nd try.

When they induct Earl Morrall they will induct Kurt Warner. Morrall did the same exact thing, and even led a undefeated team to the Super Bowl.

You arent serious are you? I might have spelled the name wrong, but took over for Griese when he broke his leg and Unitas and won the MVPP in 68 and led them to SB V

The point is that Warner is not the first to do this, so he should not be used as an example

Warner missed out tonight on his shot to be a HOF'er IMO.

though he still may make it eventually

Not even worthy of being considered.

Are you really comparing Warner to that scrub?

The Dolphins won that Super Bowl DESPITE Morrall. He did everything he could to lose that game

And neither is Warner. Jay Johnson was twice the QB at UNI than he was. Johnson went into coaching and was OC at Southern (USM) last year (07).

If it wasnt for a cheap shot on Trent Greene by Rodney Harrison we never ever hear of Warner.

And those numbers only got better when he played in the Super Bowl

Played in 2 Super Bowls:

13 of 32, 218 yards, 0 TDs, 4 INTs

awesome

My point is that if Warner goes then you have to include people that had 4 to 6 year runs of decent play. And to defend the Morrall numbers, I think you have to remeber the different rules and different mind set of the coaches the 2 played for.

Also is T. Davis a HOF'er by the same rules set for Warner? I am not so sure he is either.

I think it's debatable as to whether Warner goes in, but comparing him to Morrall is absurd. A better comparison, despite not being a QB, is probably Terrell Davis. Was TD on his way to HOF? Probably, but he won't get there. Two more decent years and I think Warner has a case, but not at the moment.

It's the Hall of Fame, for all-time greats and Kurt just hasn't reached that level yet.
