Please tell me what Steve Young has in common with Kurt Warner. I beg you. He is the best dual-threat QB in NFL history.

Sorry but we need to draw a line here. The Hall of Fame is for players that were elite over their entire careers. Wariner is a good player, not a great one.

True, but to me, he has had too many bad years in between the Super Bowls...neither of the guys you mention above had years like Warner had from 2002-2007.

I think he needed this win to be a lock but if he does get in it may take him a few tries. I think he deserves it and should be in one day.

steve young had a short career where he was very productive. He's got 1 ring (courtesy of a pi no call on deion sanders grabbing irvin).

Both have similar statistics passing wise. both have a super bowl ring. But warner also has multiple super bowl appearances including one with the Arizona Cardinals and multiple league mvps.

He's a better qb than Jim Kelly.

if steve young and jim kelly are first ballot, then so is Warner.

Steve Young was great for 8 years. Warner for 5. Young also is 2nd all time in rushing yards by a QB and has 6 passing titles.

If Warner were to put up decent stats for the next 2 seasons his career stats would surpass Young, but right now he's behind by 5000 yards and 50 TDs and he has already thrown 7 picks more than Steve Young did in his entire career.
