It means there's a fallacy in the argument and that correlation and causation are not the same thing. Basically, when A happens and then B happens afterward, B did not happen because A happened first. But he's saying that's the argument people are making.

Not really sure he's using it correctly. He'll have to explain why he said that.

I'll say, a lot of the shots he took were high percentage looks. He had a five minute spurt before half where he just missed a bunch of shots in the paint.

He didn't start chucking up bullshite jumpers until the end

this thread is a great microcosm of the MSB and know-it-all sports message board posters

Looked like he hadn't missed any time. Obviously Kobe taking 41 shots broke the offensive rhythm, but Nash controlled the offense well. Pau looks rusty, but he'll benefit tremendously from Nash. They're definitely on the same page more so than Pau was with Duhon/Morris

Nash played almost the entire game

actually he had 1 free throw attempt. the officials did a great job last night of calling the game fair and square with as little of free throws as possible (Warriors had 15, Lakers had 14).

its rare in the NBA nowadays for the officials to not take over the game and actually let the players decide the outcome of the games. usually Kobe stays at the free throw line with about 80-90% of his free throws coming from extremely questionable and ridiculous foul calls. hell the Lakers had 14 total free throws, on most nights that's about how many Kobe has by himself.

'm not a big Kobe fan but to put Dwayne Wade ahead of him is a joke IMO

You're entitled to your opinion.

You would have a hard time supporting your opinion based on their individual careers, I'm confident of that.

He's top 20-25, that's nothing to be ashamed of, not remotely a knock on him.

I generally like your posts, but I am starting to wonder if you have ever watched a basketball game. Do you just look at advanced metrics?

This is pretty fricking sad if you really think that. Even the strongest of Kobe haters would struggle to put more than 15 above him.

Hell, no one EVER gives this guy that kind of love, but compare DWade's career stats to Kobe's. Wade is a better. He produces more AND more efficiently. He may not have the longevity obviously, but his peak is better than Kobe's, any way you look at the production shows that.

Just using the years as an approximation, but 17 great years of Kobe > 10 slightly greater years of Wade.

You are out of your damn mind if you think otherwise. There are a few posters who solely care about percentages. That is mind-numbingly short-sighted. The NBA season is a marathon, not a sprint. You need consistent players who can bring you production practically every night.

Percentages, what are you talking about?

That's your response to me saying Wade is better than Kobe? That makes no sense.

We can disagree, that's fine. You can blindly agree with the media and general concensus, I'll stick with thinking logically for myself.

Take care.

Wade has a higher FG%, more steals per game, more rebounds, more blocks, more assists, and .5 points less despite taking about 1.5 shots less per game.

Yea, it's so crazy to think Wade is better.

He produces more and more efficiently, does he not?
