How does 3 rings won 8-10 years ago factor into who is a better play now?

Is it 3 or 4 rings??? I am losing track. Bottom line. Shaq helped Kobe win those Titles. BUT Lebron has had his chances as well and failed. If he were to EVER win one, it BETTER be THIS YEAR.

And Lebron taking that team of scrubs to the finals is more impressive than any one title Kobe has ever won.

I guess it's Lebron's fault and he just doesn't have what it takes to win since he doesn't have the luxury of playing with the most dominant player in the NBA and then playing with the best supporting cast in the NBA.

Think about this.

Like I said Shaq helped Kobe. But who's to say that they would have won the Titles WITHOUT KOBE???

Would the Lakers won the Title WITHOUT KOBE last year??? OK You win.

Maybe they don't, but are you completely ignoring the fact that Kobe played with the most dominant player in the NBA while Lebron led guys like Drew Gooden and Sasha Pavlovic to a finals?

That shite isn't even comparable.

That has ZERO to do with the fact that Lebron's cast just hasn't remotely compared to Kobe's recently. They're getting better but still not in the same category.

He can take over a game, but he isn't nearly as consistently dominant as he once was. He's not out there dominating games night in and night out like it's 2005.

He's not as durable or as athletic, but as someone who has watched Kobe with an unhealthy obsession for a decade, I can tell you that his play at the beginning of the season before the broken finger was the best basketball he's played since the February that he averaged 40ppg. He was averaging 30/6/6 while shooting 50% with, at the time, 3 game winners. The injuries without a doubt have affected his play in a huge way the last few months. Kobe was the MVP before the broken finger. Not to say he would still be without the injuries because LeBron has been fricking nuts this season, but his play was significantly lowered by the finger especially.

Yep

Btw, nobody compares Moon to Montana and Malone to Magic. Maybe you'd have more of a point if you compared Marino to Montana, but that doesn't mean much to me either. Rings are relevant to compare when all other things are equal between players. Otherwise, it's too simplistic of a measure to use.

Perhaps I was being hyperbolic with that and focusing too much on his play recently. I respect your opinion, and you're definitely more familiar with his game than I am.

Kobe. LeBron is too soft. One minor injury and he is sitting out games all of a sudden. Kobe played through multiple injuries for awhile and still was carrying the team and hitting game-winners

Whaaa?

Yep, and Kobe is not remotely playing like he did at the beginning of the year as a result of not sitting out to heal up 100%.
