This is way worse than anybody expected. I would much rather have Mike Malone or even an assistant coach with a blank slate.

So if Mike brown doesn’t make the finals in 2-3 years this is an absolute failure lol

If he doesn't make it this year with both Boston and Indiana missing their best player, that won't look good either.

But maybe he won't run his team into the ground the regular season and they'll be in a better place to handle a long playoff run.

Jalen Brunson might kill Ben Simmons for his lack of effort. I wouldn't blame him at all.

Don't think they can coexist, unless Simmons has a change of heart, and learns to love the game.

Knicks need new people at the top.

I made a joke when they fired Thibs that theyd hire Doc or Mike Brown haha. I was really only half joking, but this is quite funny.

Maybe they should have hired Doc Brown instead. At least it would have been different.

This just shows what the NBA is, a bunch of cliques posing as teams. Leon Rose fired Tibbs over the KAT situation because KAT is Rose’s buddy. He had no plan he’s just playing elementary school politics. This pisses off the Brunsons so Rose then reached out to Kidd to appease the Brunsons but that went nowhere and now they’re left with nothing. This is how shitty teams are run but you won’t find this level of pettiness and ridiculousness in any other league.

I'm sure the players were about to mutiny with Tibbs rotations and no rest and demanding style
that gets old quick

What’s going on with Malone? Haven’t really heard his name much since his firing.

Same for the former Grizzlies coach who I can never remember the name of. Guess both being completely uninterested in the Knicks job is a possibility.

Minutes didn’t get them beat and the team turned on KAT 2 days after their playoff exit, not on Tibbs. KAT went to Rose, Rose fired Tibbs.

Not sure. I'd have loved for the Hawks to after him or Thibs. But this is the Hawks (who actually refused to let the Knicks interview Quin Snyder, ha).

Taylor Jenkins

He's one of the guys the Knicks interviewed.

What part? Look at the minutes. Thibs ran his starters into the ground.

It's the main reason they fell apart in the '24 playoffs. And Brunson seemed to be nursing something constantly.

There’s been dives into it and nothing really concrete to back up the idea that his style does this.

There’s no data to support it because it isn’t real, they lost to Indiana because they played poor defense and had no interior presence on the boards when KAT was on the floor which is why he was criticized. Rose fired Tibbs because of that critique of KAT.
