Social media bitches have made the derby explode in popularity recently. It used to be seedy and horse racing as a whole was declining in popularity. But now it’s a social status thing.
So true.
All the women have to take their selfies with their gigantic oversized hat that look ridiculous

Huh? The Kentucky Derby has been a social thing for a very long time. In person attendance was down 14k from the peek in 2015.

Yikes….
Is he breeding in our fine state of louisiana? Or possibly West Virginia? Maybe Texas?
That says more about your buddy than the industry as a whole.

This year had it's highest ratings ever because bitches want to take selfies. Bitches who would actually be AT the Derby and not even be counting towards the ratings

Exactly
I better not let this board know I plan out my Louisiana derby dress and hat way in advance.

I've never been to an event with hotter women. Literally tens of thousands upon thousands all dressed up. Sorry but that's not something to bitch about.
It's literally one of the biggest sporting event bucket list to attend.
and I agree that viewership is up because you can bet on it from just about anywhere now.
per a Reuters story:
The track announced that wagering from all sources on Saturday's race card totaled $349 million, breaking last year's record of $320.5 million. Betting on the Kentucky Derby alone was a record $234.4 million, topping the sum of $210.7 million from 2024.

K.
We women thank you greatly for your opinion on our choices
I’m not sure what I would do without your fashion help.
P.s. I normally wear a fascinator because I have dinner reservations after, but you’ve inspired me to find a big hat next year.

Or, could you just wear the smaller hat like lawyered did this year? The big hats stole his thunder and that may be why he is being such a bitch aboot a fooking hat.

Horse racing is the sport of kings - it’s been around for a while
Much more exciting than other sports.
