Depending on the kind of feminism you ascribe to it could absolutely be argued that it is.

I think a problem here is too many people these days are referring to the very extreme (and TBH no where near the majority) forms of modern day feminism when they use the word as a negative.

It's not that different than when a person says liberals or conservatives as a catch all (usually in a negative manner and in reference to the extreme ends) to describe Dems and Repubs while ignoring that there are many sub groups within each umbrella term that in many cases are wildly in disagreement with each other.
