Can’t speak to his HC abilities but Coach Beaty is a great person and would do anything for his players. Not going into details... but have the utmost respect for him after some brief interactions. Keep fighting Coach!

It’s a cultural thing. If you invest in football, you won’t go 0-12.

I look back at how bad Colorado was, because they de-emphasized the sport. They go out and hire a young, go-getter of a coach and invest a few bucks, and they win.

That’s just one example. I doubt the HC is the problem. Mangino proved you could win there. Hell, Glen Mason won there. It’s not impossible.

I still have no idea how Texas somehow lost to them 2 years ago.

Forgive me as I don't follow Kansas much at all, but this was a program that went 11-1 and won the Orange Bowl a decade ago. They even got as high as #2 in the rankings. Was Mangino that really great of a coach?

They will never drop football, they would get kicked out of the B12 which would cost them hundreds of millions over the next couple decades.

They just don’t care about it and never have.

Show up, cash checks, wait for basketball season.

Rinse and repeat.

Art Briles at Kansas would have them competitive in a couple of years.

That, and somehow Weis got fatter after gastric bypass surgery. I didn’t think that was even possible.

Does it matter?

I bet many Kansas fans are unaware they even have a football team.

My nieces son red shirted last year there. I wish he would of gone to a Iowa school instead.

1) The media pushback would be significant.
2) Kansas isn't in nearly of a good location for recruiting as Baylor is. He probably could have done decent as Kansas, but not near as well as he did at Baylor.

It makes just zero sense how fast they went from a team that could win 6 games to a team that wins 1 game a year.

I mean Washington won 0 games one year. It's not completely unfathomable. And it's Kansas for Christ sake. How the hell do you recruit anyone there?
