Kansas football has not won on the road in 9 years

I knew they were bad but didn't realize they were so historically awful. Their last road win was September 2009 against UTEP. Since that time their road record by conference is:
0-1 vs AAC
0-2 vs ACC
0-1 vs Big 10
0-2 vs CUSA
0-2 vs MAC
0-38 vs Big 12
They've lost to teams such as Rice, Rutgers, Southern Miss, Memphis, Duke, and Ohio during this stretch.
But there may be light at the end of the tunnel. This week they face Central Michigan and are only 6.5 point underdogs. These are the best odds they've had in 5 years.
It's crazy that a P5 conference could not go out and grab a rent-a-win against some sad sack American Athletic Conference foe in the last decade.

Last year Central Michigan beat them at home by a score of 45-27. I don’t think they have what it takes to beat a powerhouse like that on the road.

My out of left field prediction- Mike Leach goes there next year.
He wants back in that area and knows the Big 12 and would recruit Texas hard. I think he would like the challenge

Kansas wouldn't make the FCS playoffs this year and they'd get downright manhandled by good FCS teams like JMU and NDSU. They'll be in the discussion for worst team of all time after the season.

That game was in Lawrence. Franchione lost to them at home. One of the MANY reasons he was fired.

Would be interesting. Mangino proved it’s possible to win at Kansas and Leach hasn’t been able to really turn the corner at Wash St. I don’t understand why leach hasn’t landed a better gig already.

There's a ceiling on that program and he's hovering around it. Even there best days under Price was a rollercoaster most of his tenure.
