So you have this presser to say they investigated this all wrong but you won't take the next step and file civil suits?
Talk about a waste of time presser that just makes this family look even more bitter and attention seeking

The main reason I would lead to believe her was that she immediately went to the police saying she was raped within hours.
In other cases people want to dispute maybe she has time to simmer or he scorns her ditching her after the incident. They didn't have that type of time in this situation.

the attorney also said that the victim never claimed she was hit on the head...it was in the 911 call

FWIW.
She told her friends "I think I was raped". Her friend told her parents. The parents told their daughter to call the cops.

In the beginning, she said the accuser was reluctant to report the rape, and that's typical for rape victims. Then she went on to say that she was reluctant to report it because she was drinking underage.
Is this true?
Hate I didnt watch it.

So, on a random night a girl contacts police claiming she was raped by an unknown FSU player. Immediately, the entire TPD coverup machine is activated to protect a player they have no idea whom it is - scout team scrub or All-American prospect. Yet, they are going to risk their professional careers in a conspiracy for a kid for all they know at this point doesn't even travel to away games?
How about a more plausible explanation: The detective listens to her account and even a superficial review of her story shows more holes than a cast net and he gives her some friendly advice that if she continues with the story she's telling her reputation will be torn to shreds.
But, to the "JW raped her" crowd, it's more plausible that dozens of people - detectives, medical staff at the hospital, lab techs, his teammates, the SAO - all immediately agreed to conspire to trash her story.
And this all assumes that the detective is an FSU fan. You'd be surprised how many cops aren't even sports fans.

I think i've swung my opinion from team jameis to team rape. We'll never get every question answered but the victim's story is more plausible now than ever and jameis has proved zero innocence, he's just sat back and watched the butchery of an investigation.

They held the presser to release their packet of information to reporters and to announce they have asked the Florida Attorney General to conduct an independent investigation of the TPD and Meggs office.

Look at all the bama fans on here championing Winston now that they can't get in the title game.

where did you get that assumption from? You think they took the blood a year after?
No, but as I understand it, date rape drugs like GHB deteriorate rapidly from your bloodstream. They would have to have drawn her blood within a few hours of the incident and tested it immediately for it to have shown up. If they waited until she complained about the tests, it was likely more than a few hours before they tested the blood. So it wouldn't have shown up.
That's why date rape drugs are so hard to prove, they deteriorate really fast. I have a friend who was drugged once - or at least she believe she was. She was at a guy's place, drinking wine, and started feeling funny. She left, and got her in her car to drive home - she'd only had 1 glass of wine. She doesn't remember where she went, but showed up at home about 4 hours later, and went to the hospital very early the next morning - maybe 4-5 hours after she got home? No trace, but the doctor told her she was probably drugged.
The way I understand it, if they drew blood, and waited a few hours to actually test it? Nothing would show up.

I'm not.
I can't say if he is guilty but I think the TPD and their behavior stinks like hot garbage IF what her attorney claims is accurate.

I've never seen anything showing that she stated that he was a FSU player.

They never questioned JW or his roommate. Even after she ID him they never questioned the accused rapist. Instead, they contacted his lawyer and notified him that a girl had accused JW of raping her. Now, explain away that bullshite.

There's an article you can find using google. They looked up a bunch of cops' Facebook pages. Damn near everyone of them is a fan, graduate, has a spouse or relative that is a graduate, or is involved in some way with FSU.

As I expected, that was a horrible press conference.

No, i wasn't directing that at you at all. You're doing work in this thread. But there were a ton of bama fans piling on that dude hard a couple of weeks ago. Now, not so much. I'm generalizing though.

They contacted Jameis. Who then contacted a lawyer.
Kind of like as soon as the accuser Identified Jameis.....she got a lawyer who contacted the TPD to speak for her.

I wouldn't talk to the police either.

I'm not saying he needs to but its how my opinion is being swayed. His story and witnesses seemed coached and has taken a year two get two friends to agree to a statement. I'm not saying he needs to prove innocence for the TPD but there's not much out there on his side of the story that leads me to wanting to think this chick is lying about it.
