Heck of a downgrade from Beilein, but of the names being thrown around, he was best of the bunch. Still a pretty uninspiring hire. Zero HC experience. Zero college coaching experience.

Is this all we're doing now in college ball? Hiring the legacy guys? Mullen, Ewing, Hardaway.

Good luck to Juwan.

How's he going to recruit without Ed Martin around to hand out the bills.

Howard is actually pretty highly regarded as a coach. You'd think he could recruit fine as a name guy.

This isn't bad for Michigan.

Penny can recruit his arse off in the Memphis AAU scene, which is paying off for them.

I’m not seeing Juwan or Ewing having that kind of effect on their schools.

Beilein left at a bad time.

Penny's brought in the talent. He does still have to develop, manage and coach them.

We'll see how that goes.
