An epic storm ends the 42nd and final edition of the Chicago College All-Star Game — between the College All-Stars and the reigning Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
With Pittsburgh ahead 24-0, officials permanently suspend the contest with 1:22 remaining in the third quarter due to the nasty conditions and subsequent fan pandemonium that ensues at Chicago's Soldier Field.

The NFL went 30-9-2 during that series, ending on a 12 game winning streak.
The College All Stars final win was in 1963 against the Green Bay Packers, 20-17.

The 70s was the best decade for fan pandemonium and most of it happened in the rust belt for whatever reason.
These kind of stories remind me of this classic.

Lol, what could go wrong with really cheap beer back when about everyone drank.
I recall a club in Jax that had Beat the Clock nights. Penny at 7, nickel at 8, dime at 9 and quarter at 10 to close. I used to get cut off during penny hour after 5, and eventually they just got rid of it due to laws. They also had sink or swim $5 all night beer pass. Tuesday twofers 2 drinks for 1 price. They had specials every night and it held 600 people. Live bands on weekends. It was called “The Other Place” off beach blvd. Good times!!!

When I was a UGA undergrad, one of the local dance places had “Beer Belly Bust” on Tuesday (everyone drank free until the first person used the bathroom) and Thursday was Nickel Night (all well-brand single liquor drinks were 5 cents).
Tuesday was interesting because the football team would go after practice and they would guard the bathroom doors.
