Assuming Jeremiah Smith is still healthy, they are a lock at 10-2. It’s silly to even argue this.

not really. That backup QB looked like he could barely throw a forward pass.

Exactly.

Let’s also keep in mind, Florida State finished the regular season undefeated despite losing their QB1 and QB2. They won with their QB1, QB2 and QB3. They found a way.

Then they fell apart in the bowl game and got slammed by Georgia after half their team sat out, but by then who cared?

And beat no one worth a shite during the season
You can only play who’s on schedule, and nobody ever penalized Clemson for a weak schedule during their recent height.

FWIW, they did beat #5 LSU, #16 Duke and #15 Louisville. Those were the rankings at the time of the game.

would've gotten slaughtered regardiless without that QB. The committee did right that year. Get over it.

Maybe, maybe not. That’s why the games are played. You don’t know what the frick will happen.

Nobody thought Auburn would beat Georgia this past weekend. Nobody thought it would even be close. Yet they did.

It’s pretty wild how uncertain the QB situation in the B10 is. OSU, Oregon, Michigan, Illinois, UCLA, Iowa ( I think), Washington. All have their Qb1s injured for multiple future games or in question (Michigan and Penn State) halfway thru the season.

Iowa’s original #1 was pretty mediocre to bad to really bad v tOSU, missing open guys all day. His backup came in and led a perfect drive against tOSU, turned around and buttfricked Washington—tossing darts and lasers all over the field—and though the original #1 is healthy now, they’re starting the backup this week and it’s his job to lose.

That and their RB being out till at least Michigan are huge blows for their offense. Their defense is still good and Jeremiah is insane but not impossible they drop 2 more games.
