Then got a felony charge for running from the cops after he was handcuffed

quote:

Jackson was at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami over the weekend, and according to a report from the Arizona Republic, he tried to sneak into the VIP section multiple times without the proper pass. After attempts to get Jackson to leave were unsuccessful, an officer placed him in handcuffs. Once the officer's attention was focused elsewhere, Jackson took off running, but was later found by other officers.

quote:

Jackson is now facing a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest and a felony for escape. He posted bail and has a court date set for June 10.

Why is escape a felony?

That’s the police’s fault

Jackson is the one dude I've wanted off the team. Give me Tyler Johnson for another year in a heartbeat over JJ.

I thought JJ was going to be the next Igoudala coming out of college. Disappointed most of his career even though he has shown tons of potential

if he was better at basketball they probably would've just let him into the VIP area

With him trying and failing miserably multiple times, I envision him doing the same routine from Bridesmaids where the one chick keeps trying to sneak into first class on the plane to Vegas.

And that's saying something because Tyler was terrible in this short stint in Phx

Why even go to this concert with a very high possibility of being shot?

The Phoenix front office may have gotten him tickets as a gift.

And the Suns wouldn't include him in a trade for Kyrie

This incident is a microcosm of his issues. Plenty of physical ability, not a lot of IQ.

He has the tools to be Iggy, but Iggy is smart and plays a solid all around game. Jackson is an athlete who tools around and can't shoot.

I mean, Jackson didn't pan out. But honestly, would you want Kyrie on your team after this year? Guy is a disaster and PHX would not have competed with him.

I’d have to see the FL statute but there is generally misdemeanor evading and felony evading. They probably had the elements for felony pursuant to statute and just charged him with what they could. I’m just guessing but I would bet escape while in custody fits the felony variety

IDK, Phoenix is in a completely different situation than Boston is.

Given the basketball hell Phoenix is in, it was worth a shot. Kyrie, Ayton, and Booker would have been fun as hell to watch.

Still, if we get Morant, Phoenix should be in pretty good shape, if management doesn’t screw it up.
