People are missing the point. It's not that he got caught with alcohol, it's that he violated his contract, that is the big deal. He has every right to drink alcohol by law, but not by his employer.

Nobody is missing the point. We the fans have to miss out on watching one of the most exciting players in the league and see an inferior product because of a ridiculous policy.

what is ridiculous about this policy? this dude would be fired from every job on the planet at this point. we are missing out on nothing. let someone who gives a shite have his job.

He'd be fired from TV contracts? Because thats the closest parallel. There are TONS of jobs he wouldn't have been fire from.

I don't want to watch inferior athletes who give a shite.

I disagree. He is one of the best in the world at what he does. If I was the best CFO at making companies millions, they wouldn't give a frick about me smoking weed. If I was the best surgeon, people would be lining up for me to save their lives while I blasted some phish in my office. But the NFL has to play these politically correct games like they actually give a shite.

It's unfortunate, but it's hard to feel sor for him when he had so many chances and so many resources at his disposal with which to get clean.

frick no. He's a moron and has to be one of the dumbest MF'ers I have ever heard of. While I think banning weed is pretty ridiculous since it certainly does not give someone a competitive edge, he knows the rules. And now, when he knows he can't screw up...yet again, he gets busted for alcohol. What a waste. People would kill for his talent but he's too fricking dumb to take advantage of it.

the whole alcoholism is a disease concept is hogwash in my opinion. And people being addicted to weed?

not buying it.

he's just at an age where a lot of people make bad decisions that have to do with the two.

if he's still doing that shite at age 50 like he is now then yeah.. I'll feel sorry for him. But he won't be.

most people get that kind of partying out of their systems by their late 20's anyway.

but what does suck for Gordon is that unlike Justin Blackmon, he took the tougher path to stardom. And now... he'll probably take a deeper fall.

This wasn't my quote, that was SwaggerCopter.

Absolutely agreed. There was a comedian on Last Comic Standing who did this hilarious skit about weed and alcohol being a "disease". The punchline was something about buying a bag of tuberculosis and it was funny as hell

He's likely done for 2015 and the Browns will drop him. Some team will undoubtedly pick him up because of how talented he is which makes him feel like he can keep fricking up. Dude is a dumb arse and will be completely out of the league in 2-3 years..maybe sooner.
