Ohio State has just as much speed as any team in the country year in and year out

I remember listening to the pre game on ESPN radio. Ron Franklin, Mike Gottfried, and Adrian Karsten were doing the game for radio. Karsten said he saw Ken Dorsey looking at the Ohio St defense going through warmups and shaking his head. He walked up to him and asked him why, and Dorsey said “man they’re a lot faster than I thought they were going to be.” So it sounds like Vilma is correct. Miami thought they would just waltz to another title against the slow white guys from the Big Ten.

Now they do. Urban completely changed that program. He knew what it would take to beat the Bama’s of the world. So he started recruiting athletes to play all over the field.

If you have no problem with what Vilma said, but you have a problem with what diat said, then YOU (clap emoji) ARE (clap emoji) PART (clap emoji) OF (clap emoji) THE (clap emoji) PROBLEM (clap emoji)

Why is that?

Because the stereotype of black people being dumb was perpetuated well outside of and had an impact beyond a football field (Not getting into a modern day debate, just speaking on the history of). I'm not saying that Vilma's comments were ok but the two comments don't have the same gravitas.

Tressel’s teams had plenty of speed. The biggest flaw with Tressel’s teams is he recruited huge o-lineman that couldn’t move very well.

The skill positions on that particular team weren't that athletic though. Clarett was a bowling ball, Jenkins more big possession guy, and Gamble was the athlete. Compared to what Miami was practicing against everyday OSU was a typical slow Big 10 team.

What if Craig Krenzel would have said, "Oh Miami, a bunch of fast black guys. I mean they have Doresy too but"..

Cooper recruited some serious speed and overall talent compared to Tressel. In the 90s, Tennessee was the only SEC team with nearly as many players drafted as OSU or Michigan

Players consider any team with 3 or more white players a white team that lacks speed. General rule

To be fair, 50% of our secondary was white.

Wait, wasn’t Dustin Fox and his 98 speed on NCAA football on that team?

Ah ok. So it’s only ok to perpetuate the stereotypes you agree with.

I can't imagine you read what I typed and got that from it so I'm going to assume you're being intentionally obtuse. I literally said

My argument was that while both can be deemed inappropriate one would be fair to be seen as a different level from the other.

If you are a football player would you rather be dumb and fast or smart and slow?
