Senor Football, confirmed and probably blew the doors off of the Pre-NIL era on pay for play, bag men, etc. Also, throws Sumlin, aTm (now a well deserved metaphor), LSU, Bama and others under the proverbial bus.

It's early in the interview... starts around the 14:14 mark.

That said, this also makes Liberty's Chadwell's argument about CJ Daniels $300K and incentives a moot point.

How can he throw us under the bus when it already ran over him twice?

Wow... what I mean is he didn't have to mention LSU and Bama, but he did so it wouldn't seem like aTm was/is the only school in the SEC West that was paying for play. Though it's common knowledge, his emphasis by mentioning them says that their championships are well paid for. Though aTm hasn't won anything in decades... dude do some critical thinking or go watch the video! I'm just breaking the news at the amateur level... don't shoot the messager.

Why are you so defensive? I was simply asking for clarification on your post. The way you worded it makes it seem like him “throwing LSU and Bama under the bus” could have been in reference to something else. Relax man, it was just a simple question.

Does he discuss that time he went to Vegas in disguise?

I just listened and it’s not like he was saying anything bad about LSU or Bama. He simply said all of the schools that were winning championships had bag men and used LSU and Bama as examples. Don’t really see any reason to be upset about that

So his daddy tried to broker a 3 million dollar deal and Johnny Football knew nothing about it for years? And he's in the know?

Still the clown prince.

He mentioned his dad had negotiated a deal with an A&M booster for him to stay at A&M for his remaining eligibility in exchange for $3 million.

It was a weak play on this part. Manziel has no direct knowledge of what LSU and Alabama did or did not do, but he threw them out there to save face for A&M. "Hey, these teams that win are doing the same thing!"

Sure but he doesn't know specifics. I can assure you LSU hasn't come close to paying that for a player. Hell, LSU's total NIL efforts for the football are around that number.

Yeah, noting that colleges had bagmen before NIL is about like Capt. Louis Renault being shocked that there was gambling in Casablanca.

would it surprise you if he’s talked with players from those schools since he graduated college and they discussed the different packages they received? Wouldn’t surprise me at all
