Joe pa wins vs Bowden wins
Bowden is the leader in my book....

Should un retire and coach anywhere, somewhere till he passes him. By looking the other way joe paterno removed coach from his name and replaced it with accomplice!

This makes absolutely no sense. Are you saying hiding a pedo help him win games? If so why?

Really? So if JoePa came out in 2001 and did what was right, he would not be removed from coaching? Especially if everyone found out he knew in 98? Penn St was not tearing it up on the football field at the time and people were clamoring for his head. This scandal would have gotten him fired! So that would have been over ten years of not coaching. How is this hard to figure out?

Yea, people get fired all the time for doing what is right. if anything, doing the right thing would have confirmed JoePa was the man of integrity people thought he was.

98 was on the District Attorney for choosing not to prosecute.

Twitter rumor is saying all wins vacated since 98. Again it's twitter though.

What? We are not talking about reporting a recruiting violation here. If this came out, no way he would have kept his job!

What the frick does that have to do with it? The nation would have known what happen not just State College. Also, the DA died mysteriously!

Reports are Athletics officials and Joe Pa pressured DA to allow them to handle it in 98. Evidenced by having Sandusky stop coaching. Then Joe Pa did the same thing in 01, that's why the vp of security didnt report it. Joe Pa was supposed to take away the keys, but Sandusky continued to use facilities to lure boys.

Turning in a pedophile and distancing yourself from him has a better outcome than covering it up for a decade. I don't believe doing the right thing would have had the consequences you think.

What does it have to do with it? You said, especially since they knew in 1998. Well, they did, and they turned it over to the State, who decided not to prosecute. They did the right thing, and the system failed. They should have cut ties with him just for showering with a boy, but the State didn't think a crime was committed.

Oh brother....

Anyways, Go Noles! Bobby deserved to be the wins leader.

Except he covered it up for three years before that.

Did they? I don't think no one has the real answers here. It just smells like a cover up.
