Agreed. He is the QB on a high profile team, but he pretty lackluster (as far as being in the spotlight) himself.

I'm a Ravens fan. I accept that we save money at the QB position and spend it on more awesome defensive players. Actually, I've hated our receiving corps more over the years, though this year it's pretty solid (though nothing special).

I am a fan of a strong defense, but the rules in the NFL favor the QB so much it isn't even funny. It is working for the Ravens (except they have no championships), but they might be doing it all wrong.

and you aren't the one hating him.

You sound like what I've been trying to point out to saints fans who think we can build some awesome defense. You cant have it both ways with a salary cap. If you have a powerhouse offense/defense accept the fact that the other side of the ball wont be great without getting lucky on some draft picks or low priced FA's.

I accept that the saints have an almost unstoppable offense and a defense that needs work

That was pretty dumb by the Ravens.

I guess he didn't trust his defense to stop Brady from marching down the field for the game winning FG. Only thing I can think of that would even remotely justify not going for the sure points.

Tough place to kick...Cundiff 1-5 from over 50 this year..I agree with going for it.

I hated the 3rd down play call though.

Looks like the game comes down to the pain train today.

Should be interesting.

3rd and 1 with a timeout left. I would've run Rice on that.

ETA: Yup. Should've run Rice for the first down.

maybe this should have been a billy cundiff pain train thread. the original target seems to played quite well and was a lee evans drop away from the game winning drive. oh well

The Ravens have done well with a great D and Flacco, but they haven't quite been able to finish in the end. With a better QB they might be a dynasty right now.

Maybe with a better coordinator than Cam Cameron, they'll have better offensive play-calling.
