All he’s trying to say is to stop acting like your fabulous athletic programs and your donors financed all these new facilities. That is all.

Considering that only $1.9 million of a $20+ million project was from fema and the rest came from donations, insurance, and state funding, why don’t you piss off and quit pretending like you know how the facilities were funded.

How much from donors? Because without the damage, you wouldn’t have gotten the insurance and state money.

I agree y’all should be proud of the facilities. But you’d have the same old ones without the tornado. That is a fact.

Holy shite yourself lol.

You act like I’m the only person on the internet that is thrilled beyond belief of the recent turn events. News flash big fella: everyone who has had the least amount to do with ruston is feeling the same way as me. You all brought it on yourself with your delusional ‘we are so much bette than everyone else’ bullshite that has been spewing from y’all for at least the last 20 years. Karma is just doing her thing and we are all thrilled at that fact.

But hey, I get it that this is your safe space so I’ll leave you to it.

The Mike Vick college’s athletic department, reigning from the conference formerly known as CUSA, received over $9.8 million from FEMA.

At the end of the day, whether new facilities came from the state or fell from the moon, it doesnt matter. Its just a petty argument.

The facilities are new. Period. Thats a plus in any conversation about conference realignment. As a matter of fact it played a big part in LA Tech hosting CUSA tournament and the Regional

Fair enough. Everyone else has their hands out for government money so I don’t fault La Tech in the least bit from taking advantage.

Just like I don’t fault UL from taking the Russo donation for our stadium even though the funds were probably derived from fraud.

Take the money and ask questions later

Sure we would. I don’t deny that. If Laura hadn’t passed through lake charles and fricked everything up, I’d also still have the same old arse 3 tab shingle roof I had before. I guess frick me for having insurance and upgrading when I had the chance though right?

The facts are a tornado passed through and tore everything up. We rebuilt it better than it was previously, using the resources we had available. Just like anyone else would have done. This isn’t a foreign concept.

Kind of surprised that WKU did not find a spot. Solid basketball history, recent football success and good fan support.

They don't have appeal to the AAC as a metro area. They also left the Sun Belt, as did Middle Tennessee.

Old Dominion is a former Sun Belt member, prior to football.
