Employment law firm I worked with

Good night. Got a meeting in NYC tomorrow. Y'all enjoy the rest of the frivolous banter espoused by many here.

Fight the good fight...

that's a link related to sexual harassment

a. that's already been discussed as it's vicariously related to gender discrimination

I said this in the same exact post you quoted:

which brings me back to my point we don't know so we shouldn't act like we do.

Nice try, but you swung and missed on that one

Richie Incognito:

I was being facetious, but the only way Martin gets paid is if he goes on Oprah to pimp his tell all memoir about how mean the NFL is and endears himself to a bunch of bored housewives

Suit will be filed against Incognito with awarding of up to 3x lost earnings + attorney fees.

Possible suit against Dolphins for Ireland's ignorance. Again, 3x lost wages with attorney fees added.

The wages would be determined by the amount of money remaining on current contract.

Don't quote me... but I think I read 14 million against each party.

Racial discrim against Incognito.

Employment under same Florida law against Dolphins.

I'll try to find the article I read a couple of days ago.

racial discrimination on a team that has a disproportionate amount of black people, some of whom have already come out defending incognito? you really think they're going to win?

and has martin even lost any salary yet? he's still getting paid on his IR or whatever, right?

*ETA: i mean "disproportionate" in that there is a bigger % of black people on the dolphins than there is a % of black people in the US. it's obviously not a racist organization discriminating against AAs

Racial Discrim would be against incognito. His using the N bomb makes this a pretty easy case.

If the reports are true regarding Ireland, the case would then turn into a "unable to perform in safe work environment" against the organization. Not as easy a case, but still possible.

I wouldn't laugh too hard. I know the Miami Dolphins are not right now.

there are personal lawsuits for racial discrimination in flordia now?

not really, b/c his defense team could just play rap songs that use the n-word to establish context

you basically have that situation, with a white guy. he was basically saying "pouncy is my n-word with an a"

Today's survey with the 72 NFL players seems to disagree...like I said, you're jumping the gun assuming things are true that we simply don't know yet.

We have very little information in the grand scheme of things in this case.

Not yet. But if he's put on the Non-Football Injury list, it messes with his pay and his eventual pension from the NFL.

I think he's also going to try and claim that he's going to miss various incentives in his contract because of this and whatever retaliation he's expecting from the team.

I know that and you know that.

However, a jury can be dazzled by a sufficient amount of bullshite to pay him Drew Brees money over this.
