Dont know about Starkvegas but he was in Ruston/Monroe all weekend.
As far as not coming into Tech because Dykes is bringing in a passing offense....Tony Franklin is the offensive coordinator. To run his offense you need a qb that can RUN. just pop in a tape from MTSU last season. I hear the coach wants him and AD doesnt...We see who wins but I think he ends up at Tech.

I wonder how LSU fans will react to Tech having a better quarterback than them

Masoli can't pass. I don't know what type of offense Tech runs, but if involves anything pro-style, Masoli shouldn't go there. He's tailor-made for an Oregon style offense that is basically all running.

So would he enter the Supplemental as a running back? Because he sure as hell cant make it in the NFL as QB.

I have no idea what he would enter the supplemental as. He is not an NFL player, but is a good college player.

This. Hes accurate but his arm isn't strong.

The new head coach Sonny Dykes was the Co-OC at Texas Tech under Leach from 2005-06 (which we all know is a very pass heavy offense) and last year he was the OC at Arizona. Their QB Nick Foles was the starter by game 3 and his rushing high in a game was 6 carries. But their game 1 and 2 starter did get some carries in some games (think Flynn/Perrilloux). Dykes has already come out and said Tech will play an air it out style offense next season.....
However, the OC is Tony Franklin who thrives with QBs who can run. Last year he was at MTSU was highly successful in working with QB Dwight Dasher. Dasher threw for nearly 2,800 yards and 23 TDs while he rushed for over 1,000 and 13 TDs.
So while Masoli would be a perfect fit in the scheme that Franklin ran at MTSU last year, I'm not so sure how he would fit in the spread that Dykes likes to play. That being said, Tony and Sonny are good friends and have a history going back to their days at Kentucky so I think they would both be able to see eye to eye on whether Masoli is a fit for the system or not.

i dont know why yall think he can't throw. go look at his stats from last year...considering how much they ran, he has some pretty decent fricking numbers.

he had a passer rating of 129, which is shitty, and most of that was with most of Oregon's pass offense being short passes and horizontal passes rather than down the field

I forgot that good players automatically suck when they get arrested. my bad.

who said anything about him sucking? Hes obviously a great player in the right offense. He got Oregon to the Rose Bowl last year. The questioning here is whether or not he has the down field arm strength that Tech may implement

i watched him play a lot. he can make the throws. does tech have the players that can make plays after the catch? probably not...but that wont be his fault.

Your ignorance is showing. Tech has two former SEC WRs. Ahmad Paige transferred from Tennessee and Tim Molton from LSU. Plus a guy named Phillip Livas who can make plays all over the field.

Tim Molton-Transfer LSU
Ahmad Paige-Transfer Tenn
Cruz Williams-Originally signed with Ark
and maybe best return man in college Football in Phillip Livas. I'm not saying Tech is going undefeated with Masoli I think they go 8-4. My point is that WR is probably the deepest on the team.

He threw a ton of bubble screens and slants. He does not have any downfield accuracy at all. Did you watch the Rose Bowl at all? Ohio State gave him throws down the field, but he couldn't make any of them.

Listened to the show today... So you're in favor of him getting a shot and think hes a good fit for what Dykes/Franklin want to do?

can they block? is the line any good? are the backs good enough to actually draw defenders from those receivers? a lot more goes into it than people think.
and yes i did watch the rose bowl. no one played worth a shite.
