legit. Dallas has had the talent for a while to be a 10+ win team. he's' doing with those players what his predecessor couldn't.

Wade Phillips won 13 games one year and 10 one year.

i'm talking about this year. this group of Cowboys. no way the Cowboys were going to win 10 games this year with Wade. for god's sake they have Jon Kitna under center over there.

Kitna is lighting it up FWIW

If a holding call is correctly made on the Austin reverse, then the boys are still 3-1.
Huh? Had time expired at the time of the run or something? Even if called, Dallas still had the ball and could've theoretically scored anyway. Right?
Anyway, I was down on the ginger initially, but I'm starting to warm to the idea a little. Still, my heart wants a house-cleaning. Could live with either, I suppose.

Stick with your heart man.

You cannot be delusional enough to think many or any legitimate coaching candidates take the Cowboy job seriously? When Parcells left so did any chance for the Cowboys. It will take another MIRACLE move from a guy like Parcells to give that team hope. Only someone that strong can put Jerry back in the office writing checks where he belongs. Sad really. You have an owner who is willing to do anything money wise but refuses to stop tripping over his own pud when it comes to the GM role.
This statement is so full of fail. I think most would agree Parcells was an elite coach. If Jerry feels he needs to go that route again - he will do it.
I think JG could be the real deal here. Still has some games left and things could go south in a hurry, defense is terrible and needs a strong DC.

This, without question.

WOuld almost like to see them go back to a 4-3 base if they can get a stud MLB.

Delusional Cowboy fan??? Keep in mind your last Lombardi Trophy is about to be able to get a drivers license. What Jerry "feels" I feel is insignificant. He has to find someone of that caliber who is willing to get on board.
All that being said I think Garrett is about as good as they can hope for. Names like Gruden and Cowher that have been thrown around are just Cowboy fan wet dreams.

Romo's QB rating in the 4th quarter is the 4th highest all time.
How much of that has to do with come from behind passing against prevent? I don't know I am just asking?

Could be. But then again, last year Dallas was 14-4 (including playoffs). Not a lot of garbage time with that record. In fact, it's more likely the opposite may be true. It could be, though, idk. It's not important to me. I think Romo's ok, a little better than average. Somewhere in the 12-15 range, though I haven't thoroughly compared the other starting QBs in the NFL. I just know there are more starting QBs I would take Romo over than there are I would take over Romo. Generally, I like our chances when he's under center.

Jason Garrett taking over the Cowboys and doing well reminds me of what Dabo Swinney did at Clemson last year.
Bad Head Coach is fired, youthful coordinator steps in, changes small nuances around the organization. Wins a few games and looks like a viable candidate. Then shits the bed in big games.
And this is exactly what will happen to Dallas, if Jerry decides to retain Garrett as head coach.

I fear this as well, though I don't think any of us know "exactly" what's gonna happen down the road. If you do though, pick me up on the way to Vegas

NOBODY wants to work for Jerry as a head Coach unless they get TOTAL control WHICH Jerry WON'T give them. Until Jerry does this the Cowboys will suffer.

It's pretty easy to come in when he with absolutely nothing to lose and get a talented team to play well. I'm giving him an incomplete.
