No shite, the rest of you people are pussies. I would say that to you face. He is just playing defense the way it has been coach for the last 80 years.
Actually tough guy, if you've ever played defensive football then you'd know the way Harrison is criticized for hitting is how coaches teach NOT to hit, unless your just curious what a permanent spinal injury feels like.

Exactly.
By the way, I called the onslaught of the internet tough guys about four or five posts in...

You are thought to hit the qb when he in outside of the pocket and hit him hard.
Make them wear the new helmets that protect concisions if that is the issue. That was violent but football should be a violent sport.
Sure he ducts his head but no way is that worth being suspended.

Had he not speared him the face mask it would have been perfectly legal, and an awesome bone jarring hit.

And you can do that by putting you shoulder in his chest and wrapping up.

So much fail in this sentence.

Replicating mistakes isn't a way to get ahead in life, homeboy.
BTW, I pointed out a player who received NUMEROUS penalties for helmet to helmet hits before Goodell. I've noticed that you ignored that post.

As a Steelers fan, I would have no problem with this suspension
BUT
How does he get a game suspension for roughing the passer (not helmet to helmet + not thrown out the game), and Suh only gets two games for driving someone's head in the ground and stomping on them?
Goodell is such a biased pos.
Regardless of this suspension, Harrison will not stop playing with the hard-nose intensity that's made him a force in this League.

You're right. Harrison should have gotten two games and Suh should have gotten one, as Harrison's action was much, much worse than Suh's.

It was claerly helmet to helmet. If it wasnt he wouldn't have been suspended.

No one is asking him to, just stop the dirty hits.

I don't see how people fail to see that all Harrison had to do was look up, lower his shoulder, and deliver a clean hit.
The only thing I can think of is that these internet tough guys have never executed a proper tackle.

Not every situation calls for a form tackle some call for a hit and thats the way football was played for decades before Goodell

no situation calls for a spear to the facemask

The fact that you don't understand that you can make a hit without being dirty indicates that you don't know jack shite.
If Harrison had put his shoulder to McCoy's chest and laid him the frick out, he would have been on the highlight reel and neither fined nor suspended.
Posted on 12/13/11 at 12:46 pm to TreyAnastasio
It was not called helmet to helmet on the field
Like I said, if Suh was suspended four games, I would have no problem with this

Then why was there a penalty? If its not helmet to helmet its a clean hit.

They also ran the wing T in leather helmets and didn't let black people play. Not everything in the past is automatically better than the present.

Pre-Goodell not a single person(except maybe butthurt Browns fans) would be calling it dirty.
