Thats what happens when you are suspended

Yes it's a penalty...worth a suspension? maybe
But everyone saying it would have been easy for him to lower his shoulder and just deliver the form tackle is wrong. You're taught to bend at the hips, keep your head up, explode and stick your facemask on the ball when you tackle. On a quarterback releasing the football, that hit turns into sticking your facemask into his chest while keeping your head up. James Harrison at 100 miles an hour is doing this and he just happens to clip the bottom of McCoy's helmet. Yes it's helmet to helmet, and deserves a penalty and I understand why he's suspended. But for everyone to get their panties in a wad over it being blatantly violent and an attempt to injure is wrong. It's a bang bang play in the NFL and when you have collisions it happens sometimes.
Now if he ducked his head and speared by leading with the crown, I understand the arugment for it being dirty and uncalled for. But he appeared to be sticking his facemask into McCoy's chest and just happened to get some of the helmet.
That's just my opinion on what Harrison did and I fault the execution, just not necessarily the intent.

Except he had 2 steps to make a correct hit, and he made absolutely no attempt to. He was clearly trying to do what he did. And it worked. They won because Colt was a concussion and threw a pick.

2 steps
Is a fraction of a fraction of a second when moving full speed in a game situation. I don't disagree with the penalty/suspension. But if he wanted to hurt McCoy and accept suspenion and fine then he would have went airborne and lead with the crown of helemt, which he did not do.

2 steps? By the time the ball left McCoy's hands Harrison was already in the air.

Bomani Jones on around the horn is a joke. If that would have been Clay Matthews hitting VICK like that he would have wanted a 5 game suspension. He disagrees it was a bad hit by harrison/.

Which proves my point that his intent wasn't to blatantly cheap shot McCoy. The freeze frame you posted shows a slight drop of the helmet, which happens sometimes if you've ever played the game. (even though in a perfect world your helmet should never drop) That being said, the picture still shows Harrison's attempt to put the facemask into McCoy's chest, which if done correctly is a legal play.

No it shows an attempt to put the crown of his helmet in Colts facemask. Which is what happened. And a slight drop of the helmet? Hes looking at his feet.

I don't think you get it. If Harrison wanted to go cheap shot on McCoy then he would have LEFT HIS FEET and SPEARED McCoy using the CROWN of his helmet. Would you agree thats what he didnt do?

Anyone that thinks this wasn't an INTENTIONAL illigal hit by Harrison is a fool. He is and always will be a headhunter. He laughs at the NFL and has ZERO regaurd for anyones safety. FACT.

I agree that he didnt leave his feet, but thats not the only qualification for a cheap shot. He lowered his helmet and SPEARED McCoy using the CROWN of his helmet. I dont think you get it.

He didn't have to leave his feet to do this. He used the crown of his helmet to McCoys facemask. You defending this guy is unreal. He could have tackled him a different wat FACT. BOTTOM LINE. He WENT for his head. FACT.

Harrison has always been about cheap shots and now through amazing deductions you have proved this isnt so! Brilliant!!!
