Apparently Raham de idea not to fight at the agreed upon weight 1 week out

quote:

First Tommy Fumbled and now Hasim Rahman Crumbled. These boxers are the most difficult people to work with and continually lack professionalism and confidence to fight me.

I apologize to all of the of the other fighters on the card, our partners, our team and the fans.

Most Valuable Promotions said Saturday that Rahman had signed a contract July 5 to weigh a maximum of 200 pounds. However, it said in a statement that a weight check Friday showed that he had only lost one pound since weighing 216 then and that the New York State Athletic Commission said it would not sanction the bout at less than 205 pounds.

Though Paul agreed to move forward with the fight at that weight, MVP said Rahman's team told them Saturday it would pull out of the fight unless it was agreed to at 215 pounds.

Had been looking forward to this fight.

But BS Jake! You tried to set unreal expectations . Not buying that .

Rahman is 6'-3" ...215lbs is a fair weight for him.

Jake Paul should fight Beterbiev, Bivol, Wilder, Usyk or Tyson Fury, instead of Tyson Foods.

Best outcome for jake tbh. Let diaz get out his ufc contract and box him for a massive amount of money. Props to jake for even booking that fight.

WTF... A contract was signed. The other dude fricked it up. Jake was willing to amend, other guy was not.

Eric Esch Part 2, he won't actually fight legitimate boxers, it's a Clown Show.

Jake booked a “dangerous” name and both knew they’d never fight. Been a work the whole time

The call was made to Rahman jr ; who was pressured given only 45 minutes to make a quick decision on the 200lb weight limit; knowing he may be turning down the most money he will ever make.He signed it. Had he not signed it Jake would have called em out either way.

Rahman trained hard and looked cut up...but still only got down to 216.

Jake set unreal expectations.

Hasim not able to get to 205? Pretty pathetic on his part or the pressure just got to him, big L on his part.

Lol he's 31, what are you on about? And UFC fighters do it all the time for a hell of a lot less money.

If someone offered me millions of dollars I’m pretty sure I could find away to lose 20 pounds for a few days.

Exactly, UFC fighters do it all the time for less money, he either doesn't have the drive or the pressure got to him.

Yeah but it worked out perfectly for him. He booked a fight against a dangerous boxer. Dude is a genius. If diaz somehow gets past khamzat that fight will be fricking huge. Gonna be big anyway but if nate gets some shine it will be way bigger.

What a bizarre way to look at this. The guy signed a contract, lost a pound, and then tried to change the agreed upon weight but it’s Paul’s fault for setting an unreal expectation
