Dude plus Calais Campbell only netted double digits sacks once for ngakoue He also blows in run support. Shocked the jags got this much for team cancer.

He was the last of the cancerous egos leftover from the 2017 AFC title game appearance, so I am glad we got rid of him. Thankfully Tom Coughlin is gone too. But a 2nd and 5th rounder is a far cry from the 2 first rounders they were demanding. Jadaveon Clowney completely tanked the DE market when he became an unsigned free agent.

I'll never understand the logic of some NFL players though. Over a contract negotiation disagreement of about 2 million a year, Yannick lost 17 million in 2019 (was offered 19 mil and played for 2 mil), and will now lose 6 million in 2020 (offered 19 mil and will end up voluntarily reducing his franchise tag salary to 13 mil to facilitate the Vikings trade).

So between 2019 and 2020, they guy will make 23 million less than he was offered in a zero tax state to end up playing in a state with a 10% income tax on top earners. I don't care how big of a contract he ends up signing with Minnesota, it won't make up for voluntarily losing out on 23 million early in his career, and especially won't make up for the tax differences. His ego was too big to let him take the offer the Jaguars gave him so he pulled a stunt that lost him 23 mil.

And per Schefter, Ngakoue getting traded to The Ravens for a 3rd and conditional 5th. They did give up a 2nd rounder to Jax for the first trade.

If the Jets did this they’d be roasted forever. In essence the Vikings traded their 2nd round pick for a 3rd round pick.

Yeah I’m still trying to wrap my head around this

I mean they would’ve gotten a 3rd round comp pick likely if he didn’t resign so I don’t understand this at all unless they just felt he was a ticking time bomb for some reason
