The Ngakoue trade was bad because they are known to have turned down the 19th pick for him on draft night. Raiders had 12 and 19. Raiders offered 19 and Jags wanted 12.

@robertmays

Half the RBs taken in the 1st round between 2015 and 2018 are either off the team that drafted them or have been displaced as that team's lead back.

I want to love RBs so much, but it's rough, man.

The #Jaguars voided RB Leonard Fournette’s $4.2M guarantees following his suspension, but that process is now involved in a grievance. So it won’t be settled immediately, though the hope is it comes off the books eventually.

quote:

If Leonard Fournette wins his grievance, he has no offset language so he can double-dip on his new team. If he loses due to failure to practice after his suspension, he is out $4M and the team clears it from their cap.

In what way? No one has really established themselves as the lead back and fournette is competent in the passing game

That tends to happen when you tell everyone you are trying to get rid of him

No one wanted that contract.

They want Fournette to have to earn that money back if he wants it.

There are so many teams that need a rb that Fournette would crush it on

He'll likely still give minimum effort and live off being a nola 15 year old playground legend for the rest of his life.

He'll probably sign with New England and run for 1500 yards.

Yeah, but it'll take 2 seasons to achieve.
