Not really. He is right.
Never said he was wrong.. but to come in a thread where people are discussing maddux and just be like ‘Pedro was better’….. it’s just a douche move from the douchiest person on this site, that’s all
You can’t tell me I’m wrong

His exploits are renowned for being somewhat dubious if you watched baseball in the 90s.
Yeah no shite. I wouldn't walk anyone either if balls were called strikes for me.
Livian Hernandez wants the Maddux strike zone.

LE is right, and facing a DH and Yankee's murderers row ALL THE TIME baw, Pedro is the GOAT.

I still don’t know how the Braves didn’t win more World Series in the 90s
The Braves were built for the regular season not the postseason. They hung their hats completely on starting pitching but starting pitching is not that important in a short series, which is what they pay off the big trophy on.
They also had weak benches. Like in ‘96, the Yankees could potentially bring Wade Boggs, Tim Raines and Darryl Strawberry off the bench, along with Leyritz. Cox on the other hand kept pinch hitting frickin’ Luis Polonia.
And Cox (who IMO is very overrated) was an utterly inflexible manager, he was stuck on “You manage the same way in the postseason that you did in the regular season” which IMO is horse-caca because in the postseason you’re facing teams that are pretty much as good as you are and will execute in ways that the 100-loss teams you face in the regular season won’t.
Dick Howser, who would’ve been one of the greats if he hadn’t died so young and tragically, utterly pantsed Cox in the 1985 ALCS and Cox never really got any better as a tactician.

Laugh away. He got to Cooperstown simply by longevity and a bunch of division titles most of which came in four-team divisions where everyone else was shooting a short stick.
How many big trophies did he win in those years. One.
What did he, personally and specifically, ever contribute as a manager in those years as far as finding a way to “steal” a win or two, through strategy, that his team had no business winning? Zilch. His MO was send a Hall of Fame pitcher out there and hope he threw a shutout, and have an occasional conniption at umpires.
I stopped being a Braves fan because of Cox because it was evident that after 1999 or so they were never going to get over the top again with him, but by that time he’d have had to be caught with a live boy or a dead girl in his bed to get fired.
I don’t care about the regular season other than an afternoon’s diversion at the park, I don’t care about division titles, all I care about is winning the big trophy, and Cox will forever be found wanting there.
If someone could’ve brought Billy Martin back from the dead and put him in charge of the 1991-99 Braves, they’d have had to retire the big trophy.

Well if that's all it took for you to quit being a fan then you were never much of one to begin with and you will never truly know just how special and enjoyable last October/November was.
People like you are truly miserable.

I was probably a Braves fan before you were born. I literally used to keep a scorebook from games on the radio back in the ‘60s and ‘70s and was often one of the 500 people in the stands when you could smell their stinking carcass all the way to Chattanooga.
I got tired of them underachieving and crapping the bed every October once they got competitive, and I lay that on Cox sitting there like a bump on a log waiting for someone to throw a shutout.
I really don’t have a favorite team anymore, I am a fan of sports not individuals of teams, but I was not displeased to see them win last year and I like Snitker’s style.

When this happens on the reg it means you are not that good. It if happens once or twice sure, things happen. When it happens often it shows you are not that good and couldn't handle increased pressure and competition.
