Kevin, his agent, and the Warriors organization made a bad bad bad decision. What % lies with whom we may never know.

He joined a 73 win team one game away from a title after blowing a 3-1 lead to them.

Hes a bitch, and he's soft. Just because he and the Warriors are dumbasses doesnt make him tough.

Did he even grimace? His facial expression was matter of fact'ish and he just signaled the trainers over.
i remember someone on ESPN saying it didn’t necessarily hurt as much as it was just weird. He described it has feeling like someone kicked him in the back of the leg then suddenly he couldn’t run or jump.

That’s pretty amazing as it’s an insanely painful injury.

It also makes me wonder how much cortisone they’ve shot into his calf. That shite, while it can reduce inflammation, can eat up your tendons.

Too bad KD didn’t have an Uncle Dennis to look out for him.

I doubt the warriors docs gave him any cortisone. A cortisone shot into that area could be considered malpractice in KD's situation. It greatly increases the chance of tendon rupture.

I don’t know how you walk on a fully ruptured Achilles. NFL players do that and they are forced to get carted off because they can’t put weight on it.

Maybe because FB is played on grass or turf (which is not flat and hard) and that FB players are a lot bulkier? This is an easy answer!

Luckily for KD he doesn’t have any calves for his Achilles to hold on to.

Does that mean he’s out for Game 6 and 7?

No, it isn't. There's minimal pain until after surgery.

What did people in the early 20th century do when they ruptured an Achilles? What about in the 1970s even?

People who have a partial tear? Maybe not.

A rupture? You typically have severe pain, it feels like you’ve been kicked in the calf. I’ve seen two in person and both people were in significant pain.

I completely ruptured mine. There wasn't much pain at all. Discomfort yes but there was very little pain. So little that I went home and came back the next day for surgery because I'd eaten recently.

ETA: It looks like Durant had a similar experience. It's more of a really weird feeling in your lower leg. I did mine showing kids how to rebound. When I came down and it popped it felt like I'd stepped in a hole in the gym floor. I then did the same thing he did feeling the back of my leg and I knew my achilles was gone.
