I think Nassib at 8 is worse, TBH.

Rotoworld reported Buffalo may take him at 8 if they cant find someone to trade down with

Nassib is a really good QB. I actually think that this class will produce about 4-6 starting NFL QBs. Maybe not star QBs, but quality starters. Nassib being one of the better ones.

I think he's a starter too, but I also think Barkley, Glennon, Manuel, Smith and Jones can all be starters. There's not much separation between those.

But do you take that player at No. 8 or wait and get the exact same player at No. 41 and possibly pass up a guy like Ensah, Mingo, Jarvis Jones or a potential Pro Bowl OG?

If the Bills didn't have Kolb, I wouldn't mind the decision.

I guess considering he played for Marrone, it makes sense. It just feels that the guy isn't top 10 pick, although I do think he is a very good QB.

Mike Glennon will be the value pick of the draft. The Bills will reach for Nassib early because they really want him and don't want someone to snipe him in the second round. I'm sure they'll try to trade down a few spots.

Nassib has an excellent arm, borderline cannon.

The knock on Nasib as a passer isn't his arm strength - it's that he tries to rifle it in there way too often, and in too many situations where putting air/touch on the ball would be preferable to trying to throw a frozen rope.

If you want to know why Eifert is "rocketing up the chart," look at two things:

1. where did he go to school? Gee, Mike Mayock likes him? Which team is he a color analyst for again?

2. who is his agent? I don't know that one, but there is no doubt that "draft experts" do them favors all the time. Just look at Mel Kiper and Gary Wichard for the Jimmy Clausen fiasco.

I would think the NFL teams have a good handle on who the "experts" promote and who the player's agent is

I would hope that NFL teams dont even pay attention to the Mel Kiper and Todd McShays of the world

Actually the way the contract is set up with little guarentees and hard to reach contract escaladers, they just paid premium back up price for him

Wasn't Eifert legit in college? I think he was the only ND player that was worth a shite during the BCS championship.

Not saying he's worth a #6, but this is a meh draft.

Yeah there are a lot of bonuses which he won't likely reach. I want to say if they cut him it's only a $2 cap hit, I think.

Either way, I still think Nassib is a second-round guy.

I actually think Mayock knows his stuff, so I'll give him that one.

Although, I agree with some elements of the rest of your post.

Mayock is the most knowledgeable person on football I trust as far as evaluation.

Mayock criticizes as many ND players as he praises.

Problem is the plebs only recognize the times he makes positive comments about ND guys, the negative comments are ignored.

I haven't heard anything from Mayock about this. He doesn't even put out a mock, just his top 5 at every position.

And Mayock >>>>>>>>>> Kiper/McGay any day of the week, so if Mayock actually said Eifert at 6, I wouldn't dismiss it as quickly.
