i am not a homer. in fact, i don't even actively root for the pelicans.

there has not been a package like anthony davis at his age in nba history.

no big had his handle, hands, touch, footwork, coordination, or long range shooting ability COMBINED with his on court defensive awareness, agility, ability to guard perimeter players for moments, ground covering and shot blocking. and to make it even crazier- he now leads the league in shooting in long 2s above the free throw line. THE LEAGUE. better than david west. dirk nowitzki and others who have mastered the shot.

- he needs to continue to get stronger. still gets pushed around when guarding bigs on the ball.
- if his range extends to 3 point land. it's over, provided he doesn't pull a Griffin and start shooting it too often.

his upside? top ten player of all time depending on how many championships he wins.

he's the best overall player in the league right now aside from maybe lebron. and this league is STACKED. and it's his third year.

limitless potential.

Imagine AD in Houston, succeeding Dwight, and being tutored by the better version of him in Hakeem.

No way AD stays in New Orleans. He needs to be in a bigger market. Add in Houston's legacy of bigs and I like your idea.

Some of you guys keep saying this bull shite and are so fricking clueless. He's gonna be in Nola for years to come, and will continue to haunt the dreams of Rocket fans.

We had a thread on exactly why he isn't going anywhere for a while, not only because he loves it here, but also because it wouldn't make sense financially. I can find it if you want.

How long was CP3 on the hornets? 6 years.

It took the team being in the worst possible scenario for him to leave. The organization was a mess. The organization is in the best shape it's been in since coming to Nola, and they are committed to building around AD. Also, the potential of Davis far exceeds anything CP3 could ever do. 3rd best player in the NBA at 21, at a position much more valuable than point guard.

Not better than it seemed it was in 2008. I remember the Posey signing after that season was supposed to be the "missing piece."

The organization is still unproven. They've made some iffy moves over the last couple of years after being gifted a once-in-a-generation player in AD. The team still needs to actually make the playoffs for the first time since the CP3 era. Monty and Demps have been so-so at absolute best thus far.

Pretty sure he's talking about ownership stability which was horrible under shinn and later the nba

These guys are so much more than just basketball players. Being in one of the smallest markets in pro sports doesn't exactly help his brand.

That helps, but that ownership is still unproven. I'm guessing Benson gave the directive to "win now," which led to the Jrue trade and the Tyreke signing. Jrue trade is justifiable but I don't think blowing money on Tyreke was.

I mean, Hakeem is a top 5-6 center of all time

shite Hakeem is top 2-4 all-time-. AD looks to be great, but in 1994-1995 he could not have done what Hakeem has done...............

Shaq is still the most dominant big man to play the game

That depends on Reke. If he continues to play like he has the last few weeks, which has resulted in a lot of wins; then he's worth the contract. His game should be attacking and distributing, instead he looks to play hero ball far too often. But as of late he's been playing really well. I think if anything it's Monty that's not the answer long term, it's not like the team is void of talent.

And yes I was referring to ownership in my last post.

That has not stopped Durant/westbrook/Lebron etc

If you're a star they will find you no matter where you're at,Especially in this day and age.

Some of you need to learn about how NBA contracts work too.
