The color of the patrons is not enforced, it's just a representation of the demographics that generally follow golf and have the necessary connections to gain access.

its a private golf club, they don't have any obligation to let the press onto their private property. They are not the government and can not censor anyone.

There's a time and place for everything. To use the word "censorship" to describe a private club's desire to control what is said at its own event gives it an unnecessarily nefarious connotation.
They are hosting an event and want to maintain its regal air. It's part of the Masters' appeal. They're not the government.
