As always context matters if we’re talking his future as potentially one of the elite QBs then a 3 game sample against good defenses in bad weather it would be silly to down grade him.
If we are talking about NE chances to beat Seattle then the fact he hasn’t played well the last 3 games against top defenses given Seattles D is a valid concern

I liked watching the dude play when he was at UNC. Felt back then he could be one of the next 7-10 year stud QBs in the NFL, but let's face it, sometimes you gotta have a little luck on your side.
He got drafted by the Patriots, who have a very capable head coach (Titans ownership is morons) with organizational structure. Josh McDaniels is his OC. With that in place, he should be handed the proper guidance to work through the current struggles he's having with some of these different looks. Let's also remember he played in a freaking blizzard yesterday.
Imagine if instead he got drafted by the Browns, Raiders or Giants with their current disfunction. The dude probably wouldn't have a chance.

Overstated
He had 6 completions, 5 punts, and 67 TOTAL team yards in the first half with perfect weather
That defense would have stonewalled him in a dome

To be fair here, he was drafted to a team with Jerod Mayo at HC and one of the worst rosters in the league

I feel comfortable saying pretty much every QB would be fricked with the jets or browns

Yeah, my point is he didn’t come in with the structure already there. It was a mess when he got there. His ascension is a massive reason why they are where they are at.
If people think Will Campbell is bad, go back and watch the guys they were trotting out last year at tackle
he showed promise despite all that and then turned it up to 11 once the pats got a actual coaching staff in place and knocked FA/draft out the park

Agree, but Mayo was fired after that one season, and they brought in a head coach who had been successful with Ryan freaking Tannehill, and he's got McDaniels as OC.
Not using that to shite on Maye at all. I've liked watching the dude play since college and felt any NFL team that drafted him would potentially have a legit franchise QB. But it was definitely good fortune for him that he ended up in New England vs what some of the other options could have been.

The roster and coach were bad, but the overall organization was in good shape. They have a good young GM who drafted him. Mayo was a mistake that was quickly rectified.

Maye playing well was a huge piece along with coaching upgrades and FA especially on D.

Elliot wolf has been lowkey awful until Vrabel arrived with his front office personnel. Only one player still on the roster outside of Maye from that 2024 class and that player (Caden Wallace) is one of the worst players on the roster.

So one whole year as GM

Well he’sHe’s been there for a few years, brought on at the end of the BB era, so a little hard to discern which picks were his during that time - also had some pretty rough drafts during that span. 2024 was all him and was pretty much all whiffs outside of Maye. Also gave a few extensions for guys that were quickly shipped out the next year- Kyle Duggar + Devon Godcheaux for example
Hard to give him a ton of credit for sitting and picking a QB 3rd who was projected 3rd.
Not disagreeing with your overall point, I just think the jury is very much still out on Elliot wolf and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not there in a season or two. Vrabel has final say on everything at the end of the day now that he’s in tow and has his own guys in the front office like Cowden and Stretch that he’s relied on since Tennessee.

He's played 3 of the top 5 defenses in the NFL these past three games. Two of them in blizzard conditions.

The other teams were playing in those conditions too. Post-season Herbert is awful, CJ looked concussed, and Stidham is Stidham. Maye didn't turn it over yesterday and that was a huge factor in winning but he's not actually having a historical run.

Yes he has struggled in this playoffs.
Has he? He had 102 QB rating against the Texans. Only one other QB had a higher rating against the Texans this season and that was Stafford.

Didn’t realize ole Barry was still alive. Figured that last Bucs run by Brady killed him

This is wild and crazy. Rare to see someone stick with their middle school crush. Hats off to them.
