Is the 2024 F1 season the best one since 1998-99?

17 races:

Wins:
Redbull 7 (Verstappen 7, Perez 0)
McLaren 4 (Norris 2, Piastri 2)
Ferrari 3 (LeClerc 2, Sainz 1)
Mercedes 3 (Hamilton 2, Russell 1)

The last 7-8 races have been the most fun I have had watching F1 in quite a while, leaving aside 2021* for its own reasons.

I think it’s been very good. Saw yesterday where this is the first time since I think the 70s that we have had 4 drivers each win multiple races in a season. 3 teams legit fighting for the constructors championship. Yesterday’s race was the best of the season in my opinion.

It's crazier when you consider those 7 RBR wins are a distant memory.

2010 says hello.

Five multiple-race winners and an insane ending.

I'm only on year 4 of my F1 fandom and it's for sure the best I've seen.

2021 was pretty awesome. It was a two man race but boy was it a race.

This is correct, I tried to combine a few different stats I read.

Better than it has been for a few years

Pretty amazing if you think about how dominant RBR and VER were to begin the season
