It’s not the Hall of Very Good.

Players who are never really constantly in discussions as the best player at their position should be questionable as HOF inductees. It just feels like Mike Evans quietly put up these big stars without really being “The WR” in the NFL.

There are 22 positions in the NFL, the player really should be considered extremely special at the position considering the number of allowed inductees.

I think there's really good chance he ends up in the top 10 for recieving yards and touchdowns.

Also just being a special talent there's not many elite 6'5" 230lb massive targets at WR in the history of the game.

frick off. How’s that to affirm your opinion?

He’s not a guarantee for it as it stands, which is what you asked.

“Is” vs. “Will”

Is he a HOF? No.

Will he be? Possibly.

Talking about this like it’s a certainty is pretty dumb.

Saints fricktard here.

First ballot? No.

HOF? Provided a couple more seasons at his average, yes.

First spare me your Saints’ horseshite. I know you hate him.

Will have 10 straight 1,000 yard seasons to start his career after this season.

Over 11,000 career receiving yards.
737 receptions
90 TDs
Super Bowl Champion.

Still some of this season to go of course.

Where does he rank amongst his peers during all of those seasons? I remember him coming out of A&M and his hype but he was stuck on a lot of bad teams until Brady came to town.

I think you really have to consider All-Pros and Pro Bowls heavily when doing the HOF and not just stats. The players need to be considered the best at their position.

Also the fact he did all that with the Bucs just makes it more impressive.

Why does that make it more impressive?

Jameis threw for a ton of yards there, just threw a lot of INTs

Then he had three years of Brady throwing the ball a ton

There are a lot worse situations for a receiver to be in

The franchise has been around 50 years and never had any stud WR's. Before him i think the top all time guys were older free agents like Vincent Jackson and Joe Galloway.

Don’t put this on them, it’s an absurd notion

One 2nd team All-Pro bid is not worthy of Canton under any circumstances. Particularly when there’s 4-6 WRs across the 1st and 2nd teams depending on year

I’m not going to shite on him because I like him but you can’t be that far behind your peers in your prime and have a stake

Look at who didn't get in as a first ballot and is still waiting, Andre Johnson.

The beatdown on Courtland should have put him in there.

It took 3 to 5 tries for Tim Brown, Marvin Harrison, Isaac Bruce, and Cris Carter to get in.

To me, Brown, Carter, and Harrison are all first ballot guys and better than what Evans will ever be.

So that should end the first ballot talk immediately.

I don’t think Andre Johnson and Steve Smith are even in the hall of fame yet.
