I just hope Bama doesn't frick this up. If there's a silver lining to Florida State getting fricked over, it's that Saban can do what the Big Ten should've done.

Yes. Bama should wax them pretty easily if they come to play

I think Texas takes it this year they shouldn't have much trouble with Washington or Bama

I also think Michigan's defense is really overrated because of who they play and the lack of elite offensive players in the Big 10.

True for most Big 10 teams but OSU has as much offensive talent as anyone in the SEC. Last year, I seem to remember them scoring 41 against Georgia after they only put up 23 on Michigan.

I’ve heard some Texas fans, at least, already overlooking UW… by far a more potent passing attack than Michigan or Bama, with the Texas secondary an Achilles heel all year.

Damn that would've been a fun bowl game

They let JJ sling it last year against OSU and it paid off.

I mean he was throwing to wide open WRs off of busted coverages

Your first time watching an iron bowl in JHS?

There it is.

The Bama excuse for when they look like shite against a mediocre team, but other teams (cough FSU vs a rival UF) don’t ever get that luxury

Wait, you mean a team can look bad/sluggish in certain aspects some games but still find a way to grind out a win…only to play up to completion in following games?

Hmmmmm. Interesting…

even if this isn't a classic Bama team.

Understatement

Ppl having nostalgia over the SEC late...forgetting the year played...which contributed to the FSU snub despite throttling LSU.

Washington beat a pretty damn good Oregon team twice.

Michigan beat a pretty damn good Ohio State.

Texas comfortably beat Alabama.

This can’t be shouted loud enough. For reference, here are the “total offense” rankings for Michigan’s opponents this year
(out of 130 fbs teams):

Michigan:
36, 46*, 57, 60, 67, 99, 103, 117, 120, 122, 125, 127, 130 … *46 is UNLV fyi

Here’s Bama’s Opponents’ Total O rankings:
1, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17, 52, 58, 89, 102, 106

Hell, LSU’s defense would be considered “elite” if we played Ohio State’s schedule this year.

You're right OSU had an elite QB that is an NFL MVP candidate and many high caliber skill players.

Outside of them many Big 10 teams resemble the ineptitude of Iowa.

I don't see them holding Bama to less than 30 while they will need some breaks to crack 20.

Depending on how the breaks shake out it could get ugly. Michigan will need breaks to stay competitive.

LSU was the 5th place team with a historically bad defense. If that is the win they are hanging their head on then they didn't deserve it.

Iowa probably could score 4 TDs on LSU this year.

They don't win 10 games and represent in the conference Championship Game.

That's a big difference. Teams that are awful on offense like Arkansas, Mississippi ST and Vanderbilt didn't even make bowl games.
