Brees has one All-Pro nod. You’re either first team All-Pro or you’re not an All-Pro at all. This isn’t like CFB where they do first and second team All-Americans.
And if we use your asinine argument then Matt Ryan has 3 All-Pros on his resume. 1st team in 2010 from PFF, 1st in 2016 from the AP and PFW, and 2nd in 2017 from PFF.
So either they both have only 1 (like I said) or Brees has 5 in 19 seasons and Ryan has 3 in 12 seasons so far. Either way, only one has won an MVP.
Only one MVP QB from the last 35 years has not made the HoF and he had only 3 winning seasons and a career losing record.

uhhh it's exactly like that, because if your argument were true second-team All Pro wouldn't exist at all

Ryan’s career numbers are like 99% of Brees career numbers and he has a MVP and Brees doesn’t.
I realize you are legitimately retarded but Ryan won't crack the top 5 in many categories Brees is going to retire leading

Ryan making the Hall upsets a lot of Saints fans....bfrick if Vick didn't have dog shot he would be in

Most outlets don’t even do a second team All-Pro. The outlet that is the most universally recognized one - the AP All-Pro team - only has first team spots.
Either way, dude was wrong. You can’t say Brees has 5 and Ryan only has one when you count Brees’s second team All-Pros but not Ryan’s.

Only 26 QBs in the modern era (past 50 or so years) have made it in, so I highly doubt it.
Posted on 11/29/19 at 6:19 pm to ClientNumber9
Not even remotely close to the best QB of his division much less his era much less of all time.
Absolutely no.
Absolutely no.

Uh no.
2nd team is listed as well

I didn’t count them because Ryan doesn’t have any 2nd all pros.
My main point, that you ignored, is Brees has had numerous seasons in which he was a top 2 or 3 QB. Ryan hasn’t had as many.

Brees vs Ryan first 12 seasons of their career
First 12 seasons of their careers
Brees - 45,919 yards, 324 tds and 94.3 QB Rating.
Ryan - 49,966 yards, 315 tds and a 94.7 QB rating.
But yeah Ryan is SOOOOOOO far behind him yards and tds.

If we’re acknowledging just first team All-Pros then it’s 1-1. If we’re acknowledging 2nd team all-pros, then it’s 5-3 with the 5 having 7 extra seasons.
And you’re ignoring Ryan’s MVP. You can debate whether or not Brees should have won one or not, but the fact is Ryan has won one and Brees hasn’t (and won’t). Like I said only one MVP QB in the last 35 years has won one and didn’t make it and Ryan has had a significantly better career compared to his peers than that QB had compared to his.

If it were the Hall of Fame of chocking, he’d be first ballot.

There’s only 3 official selectors for the All Pro teams. Based off of that, Ryan has no 2nd team selections.
I think Ryan has a shot at the HoF but I think he needs to do a little more. You trying to act Ryan and Brees are looked at the same is ridiculous. Whether you like it or not, Brees not Ryan, has been looked at as being a top tier QB for most of his time here.
And lol at that 35 years. Because if you go before that, you’ll find even more QBs that won MVP with no HOF bust. But looking at just 35 years, there’s 3 not 1.
Also like it or not, SBs mean a lot and that 28-3 is going to be remembered.

Watched him play many times, he has never made me feel like I was watching a hall of fame qb.

Name the 3 then.
You have a second one in Gannon, but he started less than 9 seasons worth of games so he wasn’t getting in no matter what. Who else?

Matt Ryan didn’t give up those points in that comeback and no football fans have clung to that game like Saints fans. That was arguably the biggest win in your franchise’s history. Without that, you would have nothing on the Falcons.
And Brees is looked at more favorably on here than pretty much every other sports board. He’s considered one of the best of his generation but safely outside of the top 10 in all time quarterbacks. Most of the respect he was getting is from fantasy football football fans from 08-15 for putting up those garbage time numbers.
The majority of y’all need to get out of the Saints Talk bubble and you may actually learn something.
But anyways, if Matt Ryan retired at the end of the season, he would be 50/50 for the hall. In 3 years with another 12,000 yards and 70-90 tds, he’s a slam dunk. The OP knew this before he even started the thread, hell anyone with a lick of sense knew this.

McNair was co-MVP but still counts as an MVP for him. Again why cherry pick 35 years?

Ryan's going to be 35 shortly and if you think in the 4-5 years he has left he's going to throw the 200+ TDs it would take to pass Brees you are indeed as dumb as your posts seem to indicate
